Man, this was fun! Daredevil was better in these two short stories than he has been throughout all of Shadowland…

March 31, 2010 8:49 am Couldn't agree more! Boom! takes the risk of bringing this stuff out, but nobody seems to notice. A real shame. Hopefully the hc collection will give it more time in the spotlights, for I really look forward to the third mini!

Great comic indeed! I love how it ties in with various half-dangling plot threads out of Marvel's rich continuity, while keeping it enjoyable and fast-paced. Reads like a Roy Thomas book, in many ways. (And THAT'S a compliment!)

Can't wait to see how the rest turns out, although I am cautious, since other Ross/Dynamite produced books (Avengers/Invaders for instance) often start great, then become terribly boring, only to come back strong in the last issue or so.

Not sure if I agree. Sure, I liked the book as well, but it seems to me that Lemire needs more than the monthly 22-23 pages to get me into the story. Now, it reads as little more than the standard post-apocalyptic Mad Max-ish we've seen so often, with a little pathos added.

I'll be sure to keep reading this title, but I hope Lemire can show his Essex County or The Nobody magic a bit more.
