March 26, 2017 1:55 pm In my opinion, Valiant has been consistently putting out better super hero comics than Marvel or DC

October 2, 2016 11:14 pm There was an "I got this" in Batgirl number 3 this week
May 29, 2016 6:58 pm Re: DC Rebirth Too little, too late Everytime DC writes itself into a corner and runs out of ideas, the go back to the Crisis well. EVERY. SINGLE TIME. When sales start to wane, they go back to the Watchmen well (publish another new ABSOLUTE/ULTIMATE/ESSENTIAL/Trad paperback collection of the series) Now they've combined the two wells. DC Comics has OFFICIALLY declared creative bankruptcy Re: Steve Rogers, Captain America Not a hoax! Not an imaginary story!! Just another cheap stunt!!! The All New, All Different Marvel method: Kill the hero, change the hero's race. Bring back the Hero. Make the hero a villa. Rinse, wash repeat. The House of ideas has completely collapsed MAKE MINE IMAGE
June 29, 2015 6:46 pm I'm a couple episodes behind here, but you guys were discussing the most economical way to collect and you mentioned that there was no advantage to digital collecting (besides Marvel Unlimited). Au Contraire! There is a one or two month delay, but most of the indy publishers (including Image) drop the books a dollar on Comixology. Just a tip!
April 17, 2015 1:34 pm Just wanted to contribute to your discussion of the Spider-Woman, Spider-Gwen, etc "pocket" of the Marvel Universe. While these books may not sell very well in print, there is a good amount of talk regarding digital sales on these titles (as well as other Marvel and DC low-selling "critical darlings). Digital comics in general seem to be very popular with people who want to read comics, but prefer not to shop at a LCS, for whatever reason(s). Since the Big Two don't publicize their digital sales numbers, we can't know for sure. My guess is that, though we can't see the numbers, these types of titles are more than making up for their low print runs on Comixology and other digital comics providers. here is a great article on this very topic: http://www.polygon.com/2015/4/14/8410771/digital-comics-female-characters
