Name: Ryan Church

Bio: Man my profile was old. New books I'm loving are mostly DC, with the bat books topping the list. I'm hoping for some great new series out of the new 52 relaunch

I admit the first arc of this series wasn’t the greatest.  But once the Dark Reign tie in kicked in,…

August 16, 2011 9:54 am @ TheNextChampion. I actually subscribe to this directly from DC, so periodically I will get the issue prior to it coming out on Wednesday. That was the case with this issue. No Spoilers, but I was very happy with the conclusion and felt it really capped off a great run by Lemire.

@ mistercKent, I agree.  Krul's run on Teen Titans has been much better than prior runs and I'm actually kind of disappointed he isn't on the series after the reboot.  He has a good grasp of the characters as well as the conflicts you'd see with a group of teenage superheroes.

July 24, 2011 2:58 pm This is pulling in some pretty bad ratings (2.9 as of writing).  I think the series has suffered after Gates/Igle left, as we never really had a set creative team.  The tone might be different in the reboot, but I still have high hopes for it, especially with the art preview from SDCC.
July 24, 2011 2:54 pm @ wiski, I tend to agree.  I had no problems with the art, and the first few pages had me interested, but I found myself loosing interest with  each page flip.  Of course, with the series ending and the reboot, I know a lot of the ending issues of these series might go out with a whimper.

Yes he is.  He was Captain America/US Agent in the 80's/ 90's I believe.  Personally I like his black US agent costume best out of the Cap costumes.
July 18, 2011 8:56 pm I'd hope people will refrain from yelling, but I guess that may occur.  It'd be so much nicer to hear "Are there any plans to bring in more JSA characters?" as opposed to "Why'd you ditch the JSA?'

I guess that would be wishing for a little too much.
July 12, 2011 10:44 am @ xiseerht I understand, I believe we're going to see a couple fill in issues like this to allow artists/writers to prepare for the relaunch.

Are you going to pick up the new series come September?  I think with some new team members, it might be a nice dynamic.
July 5, 2011 6:22 pm I would agree that it's good, but I can see how Lemire's writing/Gallo's style might not catch everyone.  It has seemed a little slow moving to this issue, but I think all the previous storylines are tying together.

June 21, 2011 5:31 pm I for one am happy Krul is getting to keep the series with the series reboot,  free of tie ins to Brightest Day/Rise and Fall, I really enjoyed the last issue and think he has a good grasp on Ollie's character.
