March 6, 2017 10:04 am I enjoyed this discussion. I just used the Amazon link to buy a copy of Hilo for my son!

December 9, 2016 9:45 am Yes! I remember reading this story in a GL Annual when I was a kid. It is such a great little story that I have not forgotten it. The central question is how does one explain the GL corps (which is based upon a metaphor of light and lanterns) to a species that doesn't see and doesn't understand light. It is really classic.
August 22, 2016 11:22 pm Conor is on to something. GenX skepticism has transformed into tiredness.
December 4, 2015 3:03 pm I also enjoyed the discussion. When we look back at the great shifts that have happened over the years, did we recognize all of them at the time? In the context of the moment, did it feel the same as it feels when we look back?
August 14, 2015 11:40 pm I am catching up on ifanboy for the summer after finishing several audio books. (I only am able to listen on my commute.) i just binged about seven podcasts straight. I was excited to hear about the return of Ron. I am one of those listeners who just discovered the podcast in the last two years so I only know of Ron from mentions and old videos... The chemistry, comradie, and (basically) joy between the three of you is clear. It really is spectacular to hear. I have enjoyed the podcast greatly since I discovered it but this really makes it something more. Thanks (By the way, i feel compelled to say I enjoyed Paul on the show and listen to his Oh Comics podcast as well.) (And you still should be reading ODY-C.)
May 26, 2015 10:50 pm Sorry! I'll go back and find the discussions of the Private Eye. (and ODY-C is good)
May 25, 2015 11:53 pm Ok, so, two books that I would love to hear you guys (Josh and Conor) discuss would be Vaughan's web comic The Private Eye and Fraction's ODY-C. I know that you posted previously that ODY-C is not your deal, but it is truly a unique creation. it is fresh, emphasizes the diversity of the form, and the art is great. Fraction is creative with a classic story. Each time I get a new issue, I always think that it would be great to hear your thoughts on it. Might be worth watching for the trade? The Private Eye is cool for a number of reasons. The web format & pricing model are not as unique as they might have been in the past, but it is still cool. They are working to get this out in multiple languages. But, the story is also great (which is most important). Vaughan unfolds a unique world with its own rules. Ok, thanks for your work. I always look forward to my commute when I have a new iFanboy episode.
April 7, 2015 10:17 pm When you said that Gotham by Gaslight was 30 years old, I felt really old. Probably older than when you discussed the first Secret Wars, because I still kinda think of GBG as a new-sorta-idea...but it really isn't.
March 21, 2015 12:25 am Ah, unfortunate. Hope you keep an eye on it. I love all the things they are trying to do it with it. thx
