Janaury 23, 2013 – Young Avengers #1
January 23, 2013 10:35 pm Fantastic review, Ron. At the risk of sounding like an asshole, out of the big three here at iFanboy, I was never really all that taken with Ron's writing (of course, he more than made up for that with his enthusiasm throughout the various podcasts and video shows). But this is a really great piece, thoughtful and measured and just the thing to go out on. Your overall optimism for the artform makes me hopeful not just for the future of comics, but for the arts in general.
I both can and can't wait until Sunday's show - sounds like it'll be a good one!

iFanboy Update: Independence, Goodbye, Hello
January 18, 2013 4:37 pm Well shit. I've been listening to you guys' show for the past two years now, and without Ron it just won't be the same. But congratulations to you all - Ron, Paul, Image and iFanboy! The future looks bright for all of you...

Zub Off BIRDS OF PREY, Venditti off CONSTANTINE… Before They Start! And More DC Changes!
January 15, 2013 12:04 am I would be excited for Starlin taking over Stormwatch, but this nagging voice in my head tells me he'll be off the book sooner rather than later, due to being taken off or having "creative differences" with editorial. Couple that with the fact DC really doesn't seem to know what to do with those characters anyway, and I find my excitement of Starlin writing a new book definitely dampened.

Zub Off BIRDS OF PREY, Venditti off CONSTANTINE… Before They Start! And More DC Changes!
January 14, 2013 11:56 pm True enough, but has it ever happened in such a condensed amount of time? I mean, we're what, a year and some change after the big 52 launch, and how many creator changes have there been? I almost expect any new writer at DC these days to get a handful of issues before getting the boot.

STAR WARS #1
January 13, 2013 4:25 pm He's done a lot of work for DC/Wildstorm - his biggest series before this was probably the Batman Arkham City miniseries.

January 11, 2013 5:13 am I think you're mostly right, except for that being Bolland on the third row - looks more like Tony Daniel to me.

Pick of the Week #362 – Baltimore: The Play
November 25, 2012 9:32 pm @Lovedrop Sadly, I have a sinking suspicion that Vertigo is on its way out. I would be more upset, but the recent offerings from Image have been picking up Vertigo's slack.

Pick of the Week #362 – Baltimore: The Play
November 25, 2012 7:22 pm The decision to postpone American Vampire wasn't Vertigo's, it was Scott Snyder's.

How to Behave Like a Human Being at Conventions
November 8, 2012 7:46 pm Misogyny is rampant amongst the comic community, unfortunately. Our hobby attracts socially maladjusted males, so I suppose it all boils down to fearing and hating what you don't understand. It is embarrassing for the rest of us (not that I'm Mr. Smooth, mind you) - I remember watching some reality show with my lady friends back in school, that paired geeks with beautiful girls (Beauty and the Geek, maybe... ?) Anyway, they had a geek from different subcultures - there was a LARPer, an IT guy, etc etc. Anyway, all of them were a little odd and fairly awkward, but still relatively polite... except for the comic geek, who was just this total prick. I just kept sinking into the cushions of the couch...
