This issue was top notch. Bendis shines when he focuses on character centric stories and what’s more character centric then…

April 9, 2013 1:15 pm Hmmmm no Rocksteady eh? That's a bit of a cause for concern. I'll have to wait on the reviews for this. I'll say I'm cautiously optimistic at this point.
April 5, 2013 11:30 am As always, Ken put it better than I ever could. thanks Ken!
April 5, 2013 11:00 am pretty much, yeah. It's because we've see all the tricks before ;)
April 5, 2013 10:33 am I suppose for the newer comic fan, this will be a new idea and a bit of a shake-up, but as someone who's been reading for 20 plus years, I just find all these decisions boring. I'm glad that your excited for this though and in the end, i hope I'm in the minority because that makes for a stronger comic industry, but I can only give my opinion, which is that i find all these moves extremely boring. On a brighter note, Cantseeme, I'm totally jealous that you are going to be reading Dark Knight Returns for the first time, it's fantastic and you're in for a hell of a ride. If this Carrie Kelly idea will get more people to read that amazing story, than I guess Im for it. While you're at it, be sure to pick up Frank Miller's Batman: Year One, it's my favorite Batman story and I acutally think it's superior to DKR. One of the best superhero stories of all time, in my opinion :)
April 5, 2013 10:09 am This is just another in a long line of stale ideas from DC. Im not looking for rehashed old ideas from my comics that play on nostalgia, im looking for fresh ideas, things that i've never seen before. this is the kind of stuff that excites me DC, not old characters being reintroduced over and over again. I really cannot wait until DC gets desperate and starts exploring the indy comic space and brings in some fresh new blood into their writing pool. That's when their line will really start to get exciting again
February 28, 2013 12:00 pm he's also one of MANY clones... so there's that too
February 28, 2013 10:05 am @Conor You're totally right, Community IS just weird now. That last Inspector Spacetime convention episode had me yelling at the TV: "THIS IS NOT MY COMMUNITY!"
February 28, 2013 9:44 am This was indeed a fantastic issue (but when it comes to Batman Inc, aren't they all??). My POW as well. The Robin/Nightwing scene was the definite highlight for me. It reminded me how amazing that original Morrison Batman & Robin run truly was. I know DC was chomping at the bit to get Bruce back in the cowl officially, but personally I could have read at least another 3-4 years of that team. It was a fantastic spin on the old Batman & Robin dynamic. And from what i've heard in Morrison interviews, he was more than a little disappointed that the Dick-as-Batman status quo didn't last longer than it did. I think he had plenty more ideas to play with there, it's just a shame we didn't get to see them
February 22, 2013 1:05 pm Agreed! Very Heavy Metal-ish
