I don't see how this book can carry on with Daken on his own, and so he should join up wth some team somewhere. Thunderbolts or Secret Avengers would be interesting. But on his own he just seems like a spoiled psycopath and that got old pretty quick. How do you care for a character who has so little redeeming value?

 

June 18, 2010 3:20 am Everyone's saying it's Marvel Boy, but I really hope they fix the new weird costume of his. They changed his costume just as they had really established it. The mini-series, illuminati, dark avengers, then BAM...new costume. I wonder how long before there's a story that bendis says was years in the making for marvel boy.

Ha, but seriously the previews for this all look awful. I have the first trade and a few random issues here and there, but nothing with this occult/magic element. Is there some big story I'm missing with his having magic powers?

June 18, 2010 2:57 am I'm all for more super hero shows on tv. When I was a kid we used to talk about having more shows and movies of our favorite comics and the future is now! Sure some of them aren't great, but they can't all be. I'd give this one a watch at least.

June 1, 2010 1:43 am I have to say whoever was doing the art on the fill in pages was just awful, but that may be in contrast to what a great job bachalo is doing. I know it won't happen, but it would be cool if marvel let him redo the pages he couldn't get to in time for the trade paperback.

I thought this book was great. My only problem was I figured Secret Avengers would be a ground level threat kind of book. Especially with Brubaker on board. The minute you go all space adventure, I just consider that a normal Avengers kind of thing. 

Who do you guys think will be the first off the team? I'm hoping Valkyrie. No reason other than I don't care for her or see how hit fits on an espionage team.

I can see how Thunderbolts would get pick of the week. I'm just kind of shocked that the group was made by committee and not Captain Steve Rogers telling him who to put on the team. And how long do you think it'll be before we're calling him Cap'n Steve?
