May 31, 2013 2:01 pm two ll cool j references in one week. a banner week this is at ifanboy. no where's the goddamn too $hort references?
May 31, 2013 12:07 pm datedevil: "the man with no consensual relationships."
May 28, 2013 12:27 pm if this does mean we get more personal indie drama on the screens then i won't complain. i can only take so many 'splosions anyway.
May 24, 2013 3:39 pm am i the only person who is liking the animation style they're using less and less? since "doom" they seem to have taken on progressively more "anime" character designs. i have nothing against anime as a particular style, but it feels wrong with these characters. it takes me out of the movie, at any rate. good on them for continuing to make these, and i'm not saying they have to have a "timmverse" look. this current style just feels off.
May 10, 2013 1:48 pm and in between the songs here's the on-stage banter that's playing in gorr's head the whole time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TztqYaemt0 seriously. venom's cronos has some of the best on-stage banter ever.
May 10, 2013 11:31 am i'm going to go a little bit beyond metal here and suggest some pretty epic, expansive shit: mogwai's cover of "my father my king" and "storm" by godspeed you! black emperor. both are pretty heavy but not metal, but at more than 20 minutes each, they have the sort of god-like, kingly, wall of sound vibe that completely fits this book. this is fun. someone should compile this play list and post a link to it on the site.
May 9, 2013 4:38 pm i'm listening to the album this is based on right now. it's good. scary good. like ennio morricone/henry mancini and the wu decided to have a creepy, creepy baby.
May 9, 2013 2:59 pm lightning bolt. specifically the songs "assassins" and "dracula mountain."
April 29, 2013 11:58 am i had much the same reaction, since i was at this panel and the "infinity" panel (which was so. intensely. dull). can't say that i feel slighted by this realization, though. it's the nature of the business and ya'll cover it well. more power to you and all that.
