May 19, 2011 10:36 pm Maison Ikkoku was serialized in the same magazine that ran Koike's Wounded Man and Area 88. It's a romantic comedy for older teens and young men, *not* a shojo manga. Moreover, Takahashi has written very little for publications that cater to a primarily female readership; aside from a few stories for Petit Flower, all of her work has appeared in shonen and seinen magazines. I'm not normally such a stickler about these kind of details, but when your list could have included shojo titles such as A, A', A Drunken Dream, Cardcaptor Sakura, Sailor Moon, or Fruits Basket, it seems odd to include Maison Ikkoku as the lone example of a "shojo" manga.
