Over all it was good but definitely not the spectacular that I was expecting from all the great creators.  Very…

July 15, 2021 12:45 am Just to let you guys know Manifest Destiny is not at all like the story that was in skybound X, the story was a parody of a popular side character that died. The real book is not comical, but actually a well done monster story set in an otherwise realistic lewis and clark journey.
January 31, 2021 4:09 pm The devil is in the details is my new favorite short story. I am surprised you guys didn't mention the great twist ending At least the way I read it. (I haven't seen it mentioned any where else yet either so please let me know if i am just reading it wrong) *Spoiler warning* If you pay attention to the details like the title suggests you can notice one day was missing (Monday, Dec. 5th). Before the missing strip 5 had been killed and batman figured out they would try and kill 7 for their ritual. After the missing day the commissioner (in the white robes) says that his last sacrifice will complete it and kills himself for a 7th death. So the missing death on the missing day is batman dying, and the batman you see at the end is the supernatural being they have conjured, made stable by the last death "I constrain thee to remain stable", to protect gotham "gotham is saved, gotham is safe now" you can also notice earlier batman says he needs to rush ("didnt have much time left"), but later he (now the mystic being is walking very slowly through the house. The details and having to read into the story, makes this one of the best things i have ever read.
April 6, 2020 11:24 am First of wanted to say thanks for doing the show in these trying times, I am working from home, and really appreciate having something to listen to. On the digital vs print debate. I dont think you mentioned one big problem. If we continued putting out digital comics but not print, when print returned they would be 2-3 months behind digital permanently, or you would have to expect all print customers to buy 2-3 months worth of books in one week (and when they didnt have the cash to it would put the stores out of buisnes that just fronted all the money), either of these i believe would be terrible. I read print (I have the collector mentality) and hate not having comics for a few months, but truthfully believe thats the best option. Lastly, I agree diamond isn't good for the industry but dont know what is the answer.
August 25, 2015 9:28 am I would 2nd We Can Never Go Home, it's great. Also Boom has started putting out some really good stuff, I really have enjoyed The Woods, Hexed, and Fiction.
August 21, 2013 2:57 pm The thing is, it's not that kids dont want comics any more (If I buy my kids comics they love them and most kids i see if you hand them a comic they are happy). But a combination of the fact that the price of comics has gone up much quicker then inflation and kids cant afford them now, and more importantly in the 40s-80s comics were mainly sold in corner stores, grocery stores, etc; placed kids went with there moms and could beg them for them or buy them themselves. Now comics are 90% sold in comic shops, most moms dont go in comic shops so kids dont get to see them. So the reason kids aren't the target audience is because kids dont buy them (ie it is not that because kids arent the target audience that they dont buy them).
August 6, 2013 9:02 pm skipping over the end of the fight, and then having them say "you don't want to know what happened" was way beyond just being abrupt. It's just ridiculous, I will probably not be buying this book because of that.
June 13, 2013 12:55 pm What about people that don't read DC books?
April 25, 2013 11:48 am The large number of artists hurt the book, some of them did not fit and those pages looked out of place. But the storyline it self was much better written then most recent marvel events, I thought it was very good.
April 25, 2013 11:45 am This was a great story, felt like one from Gillen's run. But was it me or did it seem like the second to last page was missing?
April 25, 2013 11:34 am not silver age, I think it was 80's or 90's. But it was still different even then.
