April 1, 2019 10:18 am Related to the discussion of what could have been with Detective Comics 1000, someone from outside the industry should have added a long form story. Stephen King? Jordan Peele? Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (after comic fans went nuts over her Rorschach reference she seems like a get). Maybe DC reached out to folks like this but I'm guessing they did not. I always hold these anniversary issues up to Superman 400 (http://theages.superman.nu/400/) and Batman 400 (https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Batman_Vol_1_400). These were so different from the ongoing books at the time from the covers to the contributing artists to the loosely connected but widely varied stories. Without the cover dressing, does DC1000 stand out from the other covers on the shelf? Nope. Take away the cover dress for Supes and Bats 400 and they pop! Thanks for another great show.
September 2, 2013 11:25 am Although I returned to comics before iFanboy, it wasn't long after when I discovered the PoW podcast. After going back and digesting them all from #1 I felt like I "knew" you all. You guys were, and will continue to be, my Monday morning entertainment as I drive my 14 yo to the gym, her sleeping in the back seat to your voices. On the rare morning I forgot my device on Monday AM she would even ask "why aren't you listening to your boyfriends?" sarcastically. I've seen it said a few times but I will repeat it. You are the only comic discussion I get every week. Although the daily site content will be a loss, thankfully, I'll still get to eavesdrop on a great, often funny, conversation about the things we all love. Thank you guys for all the great entertainment.
September 10, 2012 9:32 am Best joke you had to be paying attention to see...Camera panning across with all villians laughing, then you see Bizarro crying. Perfect.
April 25, 2012 11:06 pm Kudos to Mr. Roberson for acting on his moral compass. I think his case is valid when he mentions the Superman lawsuit(s) and likely many other similar instances. I think Joe Gill (rest his soul) and Steve Ditko could have more of an issue with Alan Moore for his "ownership" of the Charlton characters in Watchman form than he has to be angry at DC for Before Watchmen.
January 25, 2012 12:44 pm The creepy disembodied heads looking down on the scene is genius.
December 8, 2011 10:21 am If Thomas were alive I'm sure he would have been breathing a sigh of relief...
November 17, 2011 5:27 pm I don't read Avengers so maybe I'm missing something but why does Spidey look like he was pulled from the '60's animated show while everyone else has the more modern painted look?

August 16, 2011 6:04 pm My grandma bought me a coverless copy of Action Comics 426 at a flea market which was my first introduction. That following summer I visited family in Colorado and biked about a mile daily to buy a comic at the 7-11 telling my family I was getting candy or soda.
