March 13, 2012 2:09 pm You can figure out Astonishing without reading New but it Whedon draws on Morrison's run quite a bit - particularly the stuff with Emma Frost.
March 13, 2012 9:00 am Seconded says the kid with the Concrete avatar. I would add Alan Moore's Swamp Thing, Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol, and Whedon's Astonishing X-Men.l
March 8, 2012 1:50 am As a loyal Fables reader for years I feel like the side projects have consistently disappointed. I drooped Jack after 5 issues and Cinderella after 3. After initially reserving this I decided I was just going to skip it altogether and stick with the flagship title. After reading your review I don't have any regrets,
March 6, 2012 7:23 pm Good suggestion. Will do.
March 5, 2012 4:21 pm Make or break issue for me. I like it but in an era of tight budgets and limited shelf space every book I stick with has to be A- or better. Of the three books on the cusp for me this week I think this one has the best chance...
March 5, 2012 4:19 pm I really liked the first 3. My enthusiasm has dimmed over the last two. This may be the make or break issue.
March 5, 2012 4:18 pm I never thought I'd be saying this but this series is starting to lose me...
March 1, 2012 4:35 pm As I said above Cosmic Avengers, Or - and this would be a bit controversial - Captain Marvel.
March 1, 2012 4:29 pm Agreed. I would read Hickman on Silver Surfer before any of the others. But even if its not a Silver Surfer title he seems like a natural fit to pick up the cosmic mantle which has been floundering a bit post-Thanos Imperative. Also, has anyone considered the possibility he may be doing 2 books? I'm surprised no one threw out Cosmic Avengers.
February 28, 2012 4:36 pm Twenty books a month maximum. I make allowances for titles that come out once a year.
