January 30, 2013 8:44 pm Considering these are pretty much the last two Vertigo titles standing and both have excellent track records I'll bite. I mean honestly - and I am sorry to use this thread to gripe - but what is DC doing? After all of the promise of the New 52 they are literally running their company right into the ground. Dismantle Vertigo? Check? Disjointed universes being forced together into a giant crossover? Check. Hemorrhaging talent? Check. Premature cancellations and inexplicable creator swaps? Check. A plethora of mediocre titles? Check. Honestly if it wasn't for Vertigo and Wonder Woman I wouldn't read DC at all and if it wasn't for the Bat Family of titles I really think Image would be close to overtaking DC at the number 2 spot by the end of the year. The latest embarrassment? A cringe-worthy interview over at Comic Book Resources that makes it pretty clear the powers in charge have no plan whatsoever: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=43155. I am not saying this as a hater but out of genuine concern. A healthy DC is a healthy comic book medium. Not to mention that Vertigo is my favorite imprint of all time. So anyone? Am I just being overly pessimistic?
January 28, 2013 11:41 pm After Hellblazer and Saucer Country end and American Vampire goes on hiatus this will be the last non-Fables title left standing at Vertigo. I wonder how long before the axe drops?
January 17, 2013 12:20 pm Don't worry this means Ron Lim is going to come out of retirement and team up with Hickman on a Surfer ongoing. Right?
January 16, 2013 11:22 am Forgot that 50 and 200 were separate issues! Thanks!
January 15, 2013 1:20 pm I'm also pretty sure this is the 100th issue of his current run on the title.
January 15, 2013 1:11 pm Saucer Country gone. Awesome. Can they just stop torturing me already and close Vertigo's doors. It would be less painful than watching my favorite titles get picked off one by one.

January 9, 2013 1:43 pm At last...The Peculiar Purple Pieman of Porcupine Peak in his own ongoing!
December 16, 2012 3:25 pm I found a copy of Prime #5 (Malibu title - remember them) on the subway once. It was terrible. I am convinced the person left it there hates comics and wanted me to hate them too. I tried to convert an ex-girlfriend by giving her Kabuki and then Watchmen. Didn't work out. In fact it may have been partially responsible for ending out relationship. Finally while I certainly appreciate the give away mentality I don't understand why people constantly say they can't sell their comics because they aren't worth anything. 95% of the books I get rid of I sell. Its just a matter of finding a way to bundle them and accepting that you may not make a profit or even all your money back on a given sale. For example, selling Frankenstein Agent of Shade #5 for $2.99 plus shipping probably won't work. Bundling it with a bunch of other DC New 52 books or older versions of New 52 titles and starting the auction at $.99 plus shipping will. You're not going to get rich unless the book is especially rare but it's nice to get some of your money back and I am sure the buyer appreciates finding some sought after issues for a reasonable price.
