kellansmith

Name: Kellan Smith

Bio: I got into comics as a kid by reading X-Men (it was about the time the Saturday morning cartoon came out). Then I moved to a town where I couldn't get a steady supply of comics so I gave them up. After graduating from college I found I had extra time on my hands so I started collecting again. I have a definite Marvel slant, although I'm still a sucker for an indie title.

September 27, 2011 11:05 am This has been a fun comic, but I think I'm good with one year of it. I don't think I'll be picking it up when it comes time for year 2.
September 27, 2011 10:54 am As long as I get to see Namor punch Attuma in the face I'll be happy with this. It has felt like a fairly standard Defenders story so far, nothing spectacular, but I have been happy to get my Dr. Strange fix.
July 19, 2011 2:05 pm I'm trying to decide if Cullen Bunn writing this will be enough for me to pick it up.  May be a decision at the shop once I flip through it.
July 18, 2011 1:10 pm I beieve it's a six issue series (seven if you count the zero issues).  I'm really enjoying what's happened so far and the art has been excellent.  Now if they could put out the next issue in some sort of timely manner I'd be really pleased.  I think it's been like 4 months since issue 1 came out.

May 31, 2011 1:37 pm I'm pretty excited about Cullen Bunn and Lee Garbett.  Plus it's kind of sounds like it's really Fear Itself: The Defenders under another name.
May 17, 2011 11:03 am It was the Secret Invasion story arc that really got things going for The Incredible Hercules.  I'm hoping Pak and Van Lente hit good with Fear Itself as well.
April 25, 2011 6:04 pm @BatStewie There's another X-23 mini-series called Target X which was a good follow-up to Innocence Lost.  Then X-23 joined the New X-Men around issue 20.  This story led into X-Force which had some good X-23 stuff going on.  That all led into the current incarnation of X-23 which has been an awesome series so far.  So there's plenty of X-23 stuff out there (and I'm sure I've missed stuff too.)
April 7, 2011 11:15 am Turns out that what they did with this issue worked really well.  I can't wait for Allred to get back but this was a good way to give him a breather.  Good story (I think better than usual) and good art and it still had Laura Allred on colors to help give some sort of consistency to the look.  If this is how this series deals with fill-in issues then I'm excited for when it happens again, although hopefully not for another year.
April 6, 2011 1:46 pm Whoah, I just noticed that Mike Allred isn't the artist of this issue.  I'll have to see how this works out because the exceptional art was what was keeping me on this slow moving series.
