May 21, 2012 10:40 pm I'm not crazy about the Ms. Marvel makeover. I can see her becoming the new Cap, but the complete ovehaul of her appearance -- ain't feeling it. Also, Rememder's issues have been disappointing. Will most likely drop the series at the conclusion of this arc. Maybe Jeff Parker would do better.

May 21, 2012 10:35 pm Well, this is the nu52, so I guess it's too much to expect that Black Orchid will be in the vein of the classic pre-Vertigo character. I wish they hadn't darkened her outfit -- as the original was a classic IMHO. I can't say Shade or the other guy Mindraker -- or whatever, added much to the team. I do hope Enchantress returns down the road. Pretty much anyone with a supernatural connection should show up sooner or later, but honestly, I could without Constantine as a core member.

May 15, 2012 12:58 pm I don't mind fresh, young recruits. But these guys don't feel that fresh -- and their powers and visuals just don't impress me. That goes for Harmonia as well.

May 15, 2012 12:53 pm Wow! And I don't mean that in a good way. So, Marvel cancelled X-Men the Hidden Years (which, granted, wasn't that great), but they're willing to shit all over continuity in another attempt to make Wolverine seem more important than he should be. Maybe this will rise above the concept, but I don't see how.

May 14, 2012 11:35 pm Lightle is a nice change of pace from Sprouse who really was asleep at the wheel as cover artist. I'm dangerously close to dropping this. I think Levitz needs to admit that the new Academy recruits aren't worth the page time he's given them -- and just send them back to school for 20 or so years -- like the original Academy members had to do.

May 14, 2012 11:28 pm I thought Oliver was fine on Batwing, but I had to drop that book for budgetary reasons. Judging by that cover, I think Oliver would be sweet as alternate artist on Batwoman.

May 14, 2012 11:27 pm I don't think Amy Reeder is appropo for an action-oriented story. I didn't mind her first issue, but I could barely get through the second. Had she continued as alternate artist -- I would have continued only purchasing the Williams arcs. May still do that if McCarthy's art ain't my cuppa tea.
