July 29, 2013 5:37 pm I think for John Stewart I would go with Morris Chestnut or Mehcad Brooks. Don't get me wrong, Terry is awesome. But I really really really want him to play Luke Cage. Like that is a thing that should happen in a sane and just universe. IMHO.
May 15, 2013 8:02 pm My personal theory has always been that the people of the DC universe have that condition where they have trouble recognizing faces (apparently this a real condition). So when Superman puts on glasses he becomes Clark Kent and no one notices. Same with flimsy masks like Hal Jordan uses as Green Lantern. It's only when they reveal themselves to someone that the person makes the connection. That's at least how I wrap my brain around it...
April 29, 2013 8:32 pm A lot of the Foggy suggestions have been pretty good (Patton Oswalt would probably be brilliant) but I've always thought Tyler Labine would make a great Foggy. Mostly cause I remember the episodes of Boston Legal where he actually played a lawyer. And for the record Jonathan Banks and Kurt Russell are also brilliant choices.
April 23, 2013 5:04 am Years ago I gave this a great deal of thought. Even posted to some internet forum I have long forgotten (actually maybe it was the DC forums before they deleted it). For the life of me the only people I can remember are Karl Urban for Apollo (I had just seen one of the lord of the rings movies and he was rocking the long hair), Jason Statham as The Midnighter (also a smirk I could see under the cowl plus he kicks all kinds of ass), and for me Jack Hawksmoor was always Dominic Purcell. Jack always seemed like a bruiser to me an he just seems to fit the bill. If they could figure away to work Kev into it there is no one else I'd rather see than Robert Carlyle. For the record Terry O'Quinn as Weatherman One is inspired...
March 3, 2013 9:22 pm The thing I took away from this was that Leverage was cancelled. Which is disappointing. But having just read the premise of this I hope it gets picked up...
February 18, 2013 8:51 pm I couldn't agree more. The Nightwing detective stuff was great. I figured they would get around to that eventually. Especially the way Blue was being so apologetic. Seemed like he was trying to sell it too much and Nightwing seem to buy it all too easily. Really glad they did get back to that. Because of course he would be the one to figure out something was wrong. I just hope the producers had time to wrap this up before it ends...
February 12, 2013 3:41 pm Funny I was just having a conversation on another site about this.... "I've always maintained that the DC Universe is one in which people lack the necessary facial recognition ability to distinguish Clark from Superman. Kinda like when my buddy shaved his dreads and took off his glasses and his young daughter freaked out at the stranger in the house. My buddy, there was not an actual stranger. I suspect old TV Hulk existed in a similarly lacking universe… random thought of the night complete..." Which would explain why on those rare occasion Clark reveals he is Superman or vice versa people have that "ah ha" moment. At least it makes sense to me. Now if we can just get Ollie to wear some semblance of a mask on Arrow I will stop SMH every time he confronts someone he knows in real life. At least on Smallville he has some cool high tech shades. Mascara is not a mask...
October 8, 2012 11:40 pm Oh, and thanks for the info by the way. Most appreciated...
October 8, 2012 11:40 pm Wow, I had no idea he was actually cast at one point. That kinda blows my mind. I've seen him on Heel on Wheels a couple times and he was fine. He has gotten better as an actor for sure. But this one role I just can't wrap my mind around him playing...
October 8, 2012 6:55 pm I wish I knew where the whole Common as John Stewart thing started. It seems to have been floating around the internet for a while but I just don't get it. There are any number of better actors that would be much better for that role. Just off hand Brian White from Cabin in the Woods and Laz Alonzo most recently of Breakout Kings come to mind. Nothing against Common but both of those guys are I feel would be better suited for John Stewart. Everyone else on the list is pretty close to brilliant. Dave Tennant as Brainiac. Just awesome...
