May 22, 2012 2:02 am I think some of the resentment to digital comes from the unintended tone from statements like " I read such and such digitally..." , it can come across that it's more important to be reading digital than the content of what's being read.
May 21, 2012 8:15 pm I think there can be room for both, it doesn't have to be "unless it's Digital I refuse that company...", nor does it have to be "Paper only..." There is a happy medium , it looks like a lot of the concern is in the manner the publishers are trying to reach the new reader. And a large number of current readers are spoiled buy the proliferation of Trade paperbacks, no one wants to seek out a back issue at a shop any more. The catering to the elusive new reader has led to the over-importance of re-numbering issues. Too many people are either too lazy to read a book or have this fear of picking something up and if they don't know all of it then they freak out. I bet a number of us saw something and started reading and were completely content to backtrack the lineage or go from t where they started. I The digital vs paper debate shouldn't be a debate, both can prosper. But the constant renumbering and reboots is just pandering to an audience that won't appreciate it at the cost of the long standing reader
May 21, 2012 2:25 am They did a great job with the Simonson Thor, much better than they did with Korvac last week.

May 18, 2012 8:33 pm For me there are a few creators that tI avoid like the plague, i don't know them personally, but simply based on their work. There's one who is doing a couple of the DC 52 books and based solely on his track record I'm not touching the books he's on. There is another creator who was a bit of a tool at a convention, but his work is still good, good enough that I'll still buy things he works on if it involves characters i like. But someone's work leaves such a shit taste in my mouth I just can't go back to that well again.
