Name: jeff waesch

Bio: After a long hiatus away from comics while at college, I became seriously interested again in late 2007.  I have always been more interested in the underground, experimental, and/or literary comix, but then I rediscovered image and dark horse and am  now much more engulfed in more popular comics (though I still prefer comics that are challenging/unique from any publisher) .  I definitely prefer creator owned books, but I have a few pulls here and there from "The Big Two".  I guess you could say Image and Dark Horse are my personal 'big two' though.

December 27, 2011 2:03 pm I believe I'll be picking up 6-8 when I get to my LCS tomorrow. I read Vol.1 tpb last month and have been itching for more!
December 26, 2011 3:06 pm Beasts! vol. 1 and vol. 2. Not comics or a graphic novel, but they are a great collection featuring illustrators, and comic artists interpreting mythological creatures and cryptozoology. Its great stuff from fantagraphics released a few years ago. for my girlfriend I got her a Thor Mighty Muggs!
December 19, 2011 9:22 pm the cover is sweet! I get this in TPB, but i might pick this one up. It would be cool if they used this as the cover for the TPB or at least something similar with these design/color elements
December 19, 2011 9:19 pm new Brandon Graham story has me most excited this issue!
November 30, 2011 10:26 pm To really round out the experience, one should listen to 'jazz noir' styled music.
November 30, 2011 5:25 pm What a great combination! Chris: As a listener to the EOC podcast, it is because of you that I was turned on to the old grand-dad and ginger ale, as well as Mr. Murder is Dead. You're article has very firmly put me in the mood to drink some old grand-dad and read this delightful graphic novel tonight! also...Is this column going to be a regular thing?
November 29, 2011 10:40 am anyone know which issues this collects and when they were released?
November 29, 2011 10:33 am I just read vol. 1 a few weeks ago and it completely hooked me in. For some reason I missed #6, but hopefully my LCS owner can get a copy for me.
November 29, 2011 10:25 am I dropped after the first arc, but I'll give this a shot. Can't go wrong with Casey and Nathan Fox's art is great. My first exposure to Fox was his work on Pigeons from Hell from Dark Horse maybe about four years ago and it had me floored!
November 23, 2011 7:59 pm Catwoman and Usagi are great!
