Age of Apocalypse makes me want to shout from the rooftops how amazing it is, but in lieu of that…

RESIDENT ALIEN #1
May 24, 2012 11:48 pm Very tricky, Dark Horse...I grabbed #1 on a whim only to open it and see that the story began in #0...their website has it for 1.99 so I grabbed it digitally. Dark Horse is really coming up the ranks on my pull list! Another awesome offering.

JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY #638
May 23, 2012 6:02 pm I re-read the first three parts of the crossover to prep for this issue. It's like barely controlled chaos, there are so many little touches and quick one liners that I think I missed the first read through...it's one crazy mad cap adventure. I'm not sure I could love this crossover any more....Av-what...Culling who?

ADVANCE REVIEW: Brian Wood’s THE MASSIVE #1 (Spoiler Free)
May 23, 2012 5:04 pm I think a highly overlooked but amazing book is Margaret Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale" She identifies the troubling trends of society and brings them to a possible future that's dark and scarily possible.

ASTONISHING X-MEN #50
May 22, 2012 6:13 am I was looking to add an X-title and wanted to like it, but the first two issues didnt grab me. My disappointment with Astonishing made me give New Mutants and X-Factor a shot and they are pretty awesome.

JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY #638
May 21, 2012 8:24 pm This crossover is fantastic fun...it's clever and cohesive. If only the shipping schedule would continue even after the crossover, having a weekly dose of either JiM or New Mutants makes me happier than a clam.

X-FACTOR #236
May 17, 2012 5:52 pm I started this last issue and I am hooked, grabbed a bunch of back issues, of which there are a ton...I can see why this title has such a dedicated following, it's very much character driven and the driver, aka Peter David, is a master.

WONDER WOMAN #9
May 17, 2012 3:55 am The first round of Tony Akins on pencils was okay, but it seemed he wasreally trying to make it look similar to Chiang. This issue looks like we are seeing Akins style more clearly and it's great. His version of Strife looks slightly more unhinged and I am a fan. I am amazed at this journey, it's really dark and unexpectedly awesome.

THE SIXTH GUN #22
May 17, 2012 2:22 am I just started reading the series last week and I couldnt agree more. That Cullen Bunn is one talented man.

NEW MUTANTS #42
May 15, 2012 4:59 am I can say this has been my most enjoyed crossover of 2012...The New Mutants and Loki can hang anytime...I am so in.
