May 23, 2012 10:23 pm I attended a Batman Animated Series 20th anniversary panel at Emerald City recently. A fan mentioned an animated Dark Knight Returns to Conroy and he said he had no clue it was being made and joked that he needed to get his agent on the phone. Conroy definitely doesn't seem done being Batman the way Hamill is. I think DC just wants to have different guys doing it. That way, they aren't hamstrung to one guy. There's lots of projects going on all the time.
May 23, 2012 3:48 am Couldn't agree more with Conor about Damian. He's been pretty terrible in the New 52. ESPECIALLY that last issue where he was given military orders to an army of solidiers. The book itself has been "ok", but the characterization of Damian just boooooooooo.
May 23, 2012 3:46 am Thanks for pointing out that Winick is writing Dark Knight. I have been ignoring the hell out of the title due to it being terrible. I'll give it a shot.
May 22, 2012 2:07 am No. Issue 27 is being re-released. So not to confuse people who didn't get that issue. There's supposed to be some bonus material to attempt to make it worthwhile for people who already got the issue last year.
May 17, 2012 4:53 pm Cool. Nice to see they got their money and then some. 200 pages of James Stokoe art? See ya in 2015, Orc Stain. ;)
May 16, 2012 3:23 pm Wow! Awesome! Mike and Laura hinted at Emerald City to me that they were working on a project for Marvel. Now we know what it is. This book is an artist gold mine.
May 12, 2012 5:53 am To keep it simple. Common on the internet. Unprecedented on this site. An observation of the internet as a whole and iFanboy on it's own historical merit can be two different things. Is that deep enough for you? ;)
May 12, 2012 5:48 am @USPUNX - Where did I fail to apply logic? Internet group-think and hive-mind can exist all over the internet while at the same time this run of huge % pow's for one book can also be an unprecedented thing for this particular site. It in fact is. The things you seem to be impressed to point out as contradicting one another are by no means one in the same. They most certainly can be mutually exclusive, and are two different points.
May 11, 2012 2:33 am Head and shoulders? Not necessarily. But there are books more deserving on a weekly basis. Or at least that deserve to have more than the 1 or 3% they get. Batman is great. But not 60% to 2% great in comparison to books that are at least in the conversation.
May 10, 2012 10:18 pm Haha. No. Of course not. Just saying hive-mind group-think exists and holds influence. It's cool though. Not like Snyder's Batman is bad or anything. There are much worse books for something like this to happen with. ;)
