Replace a breaking bad episode or an episode of always sunny in philly with a green lantern comic.. then it holds up. I used movies because it made for a more interesting comment.. And if we are making sure our points are 100 percent correct (if people cant infer what we mean by movie.. as in movie= any media besides comics) then i would have to say that the majority of human beings on the planet have no access to devices that deliver music and television to them.. or even a house to begin with. Oh you didnt mean actually "every" like you said.. Oh i get it now.

May 27, 2012 7:24 pm Is that what people do with movies too? Oh shit the movie was a snoozefest .. so.. ill just stop going to the theater. Its just like any other medium.. theres the crap.. and the boring.. and the mildly entertaining .. and so on and so on untill you get to art. Im not sure everything can be made to be good. The best we can expect for blindly choosing anything is an average experience. Thats why you gravitate to Guy Pierce movies (guessing) and Grant Morrison comics (guessing) .. proven talent.. Same with me... but every now and then you gotta try out something youve never tryed ( and by "you" i mean random human beings).. It will probably suck but.. its worth it in the long run. Man i saw that gijoe movie and like now i cant even step foot into a theater..

May 27, 2012 6:55 pm Alternative viewpoints are more welcome on this site than the average site.. as there are plenty of times when people offer divergent viewpoints and are treated with the typical ifanboy respect and fairness.. and there are also many times a day when someone just types this is stupid or that is stupid and are largely ignored ,,, However.... do it with a Morrison thread at your peril. Ron is an integral part of ifanboy right? and this is a comics event and ifanboy is comics site right? I just have one other thing to say.. Babbabooey .. Babbabooey!

May 27, 2012 4:02 pm Just a word of warning. Being negative about Grant Morrison is about the fastest way to make enemies on this site. Most of the staff loves him (they even set up a convention together).. and the vast majority of the most vocal people that frequent this site also love him. Any other creator is fair game but he seems to be off limits. Having said that.. I feel that the truth about him is that he has some hits and he has some misses. He is a good writer. Good writers sometimes write shit and sometimes they write great stuff. Personally i havent liked him as a human being ever since he very aggressively stated in an interview the cliche that "if someone wants to learn how to write they gotta get up of their asses and experience life". (paraphrased). It wasnt what he said but the way he said it that i found annoying. He also said it in the way he says lots of things.. almost as if he was the first one to say it. Even though most of us have heard that before we were 15 years old. He also said that the next time he meets mark millar .. he wants it to be a meeting in which he runs mark millar over with his car. I dont know why he would get a pass for publicly airing his dislike and making light of violence against a real person when some people are very sensitive about showing violence in comics against fictional characters. Regardless of whether or not his beef is real.. none of us know what really happened.. but morrison is the one thats showing his emotions in public. Normally its the guy that retaliates that gets the blame right? well? blame morrison. I say again.. though that ive read some excellent stuff from Morrison and will continue to (new xmen and WE3 come to mind as well as batman and robin)... however i dont like him personally.

May 24, 2012 4:41 pm well just fyi... the original 21 or 22 issues ( i forget exactly) of prophet were in a totally different vein than these last few issues and they came out many years ago.. over a decade ago. It used to be more superheroey .. new its just awesome. You only need to track down the last few issues.
