Ive had my eye open for a trade ever since, hopefully Image resolitics the trade when #10 comes out
Leaving numbers off a batman trade almost makes sense when you're trying to sell it to an unfamilliar reader from a regular bookstore.
"Batman: Year One" looks a lot more inviting than "Batman: issues #404-407"
It's kind cancelled out when a typical bookstore usualy has an entire shelf of assorted Batman trades and none of them really say "Read me first!"
Also, im guilty of not reading American Vampire either. I saw all the nice cheaper paperback collections of Vertigo's stuff and thought "surely they'll do this one in softcover too". Looks like I may be mistaken :
Then again I dont read the letters in the Fantastic Four issues I got so chances are I wont read these
Hopefully we get more questions like "what was your approach to doing this plot point/character beat/whatever?" and less questions like "whats going to happen with this? you forgot this plot element? what are the exact ages of the characters?"
I could get into this if it was a comedy book about a super angry dude just trying to get stuff done.
Not sure I can get behind a book that tries to play a blood puking cat and a huge red dude powered by the power of rage and are always angry as a serious thing.
Well who knows?
also, whats with Hellblazer getting a side mini series and now AmVamp? though I suppose Fables has been at it a while and Sandman before it. Still, makes me wonder...
Either way I'll probably pick it up
TIme Sphere would give him all the time he needs to do it, plus he knows a thing or two about cool toys
