March 15, 2012 9:40 am There is some stuff that not matter how much I wish I could forget I just cant; the constant arguments online about Marvel vs. DC, and events, and whats killing the industry, and retcons, and about fill-ins and and all that pointless stuff where you take a step back and think 'what the hell I am doing with my life?'. But mostly I think I'll remember the good moments. I'll remember the scene from Batman&Robin#2 where Alfred tells Dick that 'the show must go on' I'll remember tearing up while reading Daytripper every month I'll remember reading Asterious Polyp on a long bus trip back to my home town and appreciating old friends all the much more for it. I'll remember be completely knocked back and amazed by Brandon Graham's The Speaker in DHP And Im hoping I'll remember that look the Goat guy had in Saga#1 when hes holding his wife and child to protect them As much as the average comic fans life is taken up by arguing who would win in a fight and fretting over continuity details, these are the moments that make it worth while. Those moments where something raw and real can briefly be made real with words and pictures.
March 26, 2011 8:48 am To what degree are you allowed to choose your artist when working at Marvel?
What do you look for when looking for an artist, either for your Marvel or independant work? Is it someone who 'gets' what your trying to do with the book and will try to adapt to better tell that story, or do you find someone whose style fits what your trying to tell? Or do you write stories to fit your artists?

As someone who has done some art yourself I'm sure you would have an interesting perspective on the process
March 3, 2011 9:03 am I havn't been to a comic shop in ages, mostly because of all the hype around events, but now that Im out of of the regular habit the advertising around events has been getting me more excited.

Those rediculous Fear Itself ads where people are slapfighting each over hammers, that is actually starting to look pretty fun where it wouldnt have before.
That stuff that seems to be going on over at IDW with the Cobra Civil War thing, I havnt even seen the GI Joe cartoon and im keep my ears open for that.

The problem is that I know that if I want to get into that stuff I'll have to get back in the habit of going to a store every month. I'd much rather just go on a comic reading bender and wake up one morning covered in a mountain of tie-in books I have no memory of buying.
February 17, 2011 3:05 pm First person who comes to my mind is Morrison:
Frank Quietly, JHW3, Cameron Stewart, Ryan Sook, Fraiser Irving, Doug Manke, Yanik Paquette, Chris Sprouse, Sean Murphy, Ed McGuinness

Also Mignola attracts some pretty amazing guys
February 11, 2011 7:37 pm I already cant watch Mad Men without thinking Don Draper is Bruce Wayne so having a sexy sixtys Batman story with dudes in suits is a fairly natural extension
February 3, 2011 5:03 am Just thought I'd add my appreciation to the pile, powerful stuff that put a lot of things in perspective for me

Best of luck to you Josh, be it in writing or whatever else you choose to persue
January 29, 2011 5:52 am 3 issue story about Lois Lane leading an underground resistance against Wonder Woman who is the queen of Europe written by DnA..... Sign me up!

Gonna need to see some creative teams before I get excited for the rest of them

Probably gonna stay away from the main title, Im happy with have an elseworld or two but I'd rather not deal with timetravel/multiverse silliness
January 25, 2011 3:21 am Being unemployed is making it much easier to wait for trades

And really I have such a crazy long back log of books I would like to read that it makes no sense in my mind to pick up the single issues.

But hey, thats just me
January 25, 2011 3:08 am Just saw the spoiler then on bleedingcool

Kinda annoyed with who they picked, but oh well
