June 14, 2011 7:34 pm Seriously? There are people in the world who want this book? I'm not knocking the creators - I like both of them - but if anyone wants to see Spider-Man teaming up with other super heroes there are (at least) four major ongoing titles for that, each with pretty great creative teams. This is just... way beyond unnecessary.
June 7, 2011 9:53 pm wow. I'm on these titles like white on rice.
June 2, 2011 6:55 pm I personally have no use for a digital version of a comic I already bought and very little interest in digital comics that cost the same as the print versions. That said, I still think this is a decent pricing plan. It protects the retailers a bit for the time being - and while that's not DC's responsibility, I actually still LIKE browsing a brick-and-mortar comic book store every week - and I just might buy some digital comics at 1.99 that I didn't want to shell out the cash for when they came out but have heard good things about since. Might.
May 31, 2011 9:39 pm Other than that omission, though, awesome article! As a fellow x-fan I tend to agree with all the grades, but as a Carey fan I have to say Legacy is cruelly underrated here.

And maybe X-Force is just slightly overrated. Slightly!
May 31, 2011 9:35 pm I know it's already been addressed in this thread, but Gen Hope deserves to be added to this list. Gillen is kicking ass on that title, and it's the only X-book featuring (actual) new mutants! And it totally "matters" as it's dealing with the biggest X-continuity event since M-Day.
May 31, 2011 8:27 pm This is a great article, but I think you drastically underestimate how much the X-Men-as-civil rights-analogy still resonates. Sure, we've got a black president. Sure, there are (a few, generally stereotypical/beautiful) gay people on TV. But we've also got homophobic and racist elements of our society who are more energized/dangerous than ever in reaction against the progress that has been made. And try being a Muslim-American and saying no one REALLY feels like an outcast anymore. The X-Men's central metaphor is as relevant as it ever was. It's not going to stop working because Glee is dealing with as similar theme in a different genre. If anything, Glee works for the same reason X-Men does: The central metaphor continues to strike a chord with young people.
May 31, 2011 7:59 pm Wow. Talk about something I never could have imagined I wanted before I saw it. Cyclops. Moustache. Now.
YES WE CAN!
May 27, 2011 4:58 pm I love these columns. (I'm also a religious Tilting at Windmills reader) Keep 'em coming, Jason!
May 9, 2011 9:37 pm @misterckent  I'm just happy reading more Cinderella spy stories. But you're not wrong. It's time to kick it into high gear. But if the pacing of the first Cindy mini is any indication, we can expect it to do just that in this - or possibly the next - issue.
