June 14, 2011 12:43 pm Love it!!!  Going on my pull list.
June 9, 2011 12:00 pm I am sooooo relieved that Jonah Hex is returning - and with Gray and Palmiotti writing him too.  I like the concept of the All Star Western.  Can't wait for some Bat Lash on the side.

The other title that interests me is Sgt. Rock.  I'm so glad that DC is updating the war genre.

June 7, 2011 5:42 pm After being quite enthusiastic about the first few announcements, I have to say - this group of new comics leaves me a bit cold.  The only thing that looks somewhat interesting is the new Justice League Dark title.
June 6, 2011 4:38 pm I seriously doubt that DC would give Jason Todd his own book, but not Tim Drake.
June 6, 2011 4:36 pm Hmmmmm...  I still say that that we should give up on Tim Drake having his own title.  Stay tuned, Bat-fans, it's not over yet.
June 6, 2011 4:31 pm As the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy calmly reminds us -- "DON'T PANIC!"  Or, to put it slightly differently, as the Blue Lanterns like to say, "All will be well."  So fellow iFanboys, calm down, remember to breathe, and trust that change can sometimes be good.

I, for one, am still super excited about what's coming to the DCU come September.  Even more so after I saw the Bat books.  While I loved Dick Grayson as Batman, I knew it wouldn't last.  Bruce Wayne will always be THE Batman.  So I'm not surprised at the return of Bruce to the cowl.  I look forward to seeing how DC constructs the relationship between Bruce and Damien.  Both are dark characters.  Dick lightened Damien up.  I'm not worried about the new pairing, just curious.

As for Dick, I think it's great that he is returning to Nightwing.  I absolutely LOVE his new costume.  I always thought the Nightwing costumes previously were a weakness.  This one looks cool.

As for Tim Drake, I'm not worried about his fate.  I am confident that he will have a place in the DCNu.  I just think that they haven't revealed it yet.  The same goes with Stephanie Brown.  I loved her as Batgirl, but truth be told, I LOVE Barbara Gordon more as Batgirl.  The thought of her returning to this role has me absolutely giddy.
June 3, 2011 9:29 am The Jonah Hex cover is classic!
June 2, 2011 7:09 pm Well, as enthusiastic as I have been about the transition to digital, I must say I am disappointed about the pricing plan.  I had hoped that the digital edition would be somewhere between $1.99 - $2.49 on the same day that the hard copy is released.  It doesn't make sense to make loyal readers wait a whole month before they receive a discount.  I don't think this pricing plan is posed to bring in new readers either.  When I go on Amazon to watch a TV show that I've missed, I pay $1.99 per episode.  I don't think that a digital copy should cost more than that.  Think about what the publishers are saving on printing costs, distribution costs, etc.
June 2, 2011 2:55 pm I am so excited about all of this!  I couldn't be happier.  That doesn't mean that every title will be great, but I am hopeful - and gratified that DC is willing to take such risks.  I suspect that in September, I will probably try out most of the DC titles on my new iPad.  I'll see what I like - it's not like I'm locked in by a subscription pull list.  I'm so glad that Aquaman is getting his own book again.  Also glad that Hawkman is too - I just hope that Hawkgirl is a part of the plan.  I love Green Lantern, and hated to have dropped the most recent incarnation.  I didn't like how he was portrayed.  Ready for a fresh start with him.  Really stoked about JLI - love that team.  I wonder if the Batman in JLI is Dick?  I hope it is - and I hope he stays on as one of the Batmen.  DC Universe Presents looks really cool.
