Now, the mushroom forest is littered with tiny blue and squelchy red corpses, and the only bloke left who can smurf them is John Constantine......but is the cure worse than the disease?

October 18, 2012 11:14 am My LCS, Brave New World Comics in Newhall, CA is owned by a woman. Its a great store and definitely doesn't have that "no grlz allowed in the treehouse" kinda mentality.

June 22, 2012 12:37 pm @Odino1, I was thinking the same thing. As much as I love his art, I am not sure Travis Charest is suited to do anything monthly. HIs style is way too intensive to maintain that kind of a pace for prolonged periods of time.

June 20, 2012 4:18 pm My sacred cow is computers. It bugs me how, in every procedural TV show, they always ask the computer person to run a search of all Males in the greater Metropolitan district who are on Xanax, have a red sweater, and had to repeat the second grade, and somehow, miraculously, all these various databases 1) exist, 2) are accessible and 3) and interrelated and 4) return results in seconds. AAARRRGHH!!!! Or the three keystrokes necessary to create a 3D computer simulation of a crime scene, down to ever detail. Sure, maybe they created it all before the lead investigator came into the lab for the demonstration, but then they always ask "Well, what happens if there was a crocidile sunbathing in the middle of the room." Just once I want the computer person to say "Hey, thats a good question. Let me get back to you in six months after I have gathered all the necessary data on crocidiles and see if you freakin' hunch has paid for all my overtime!!"

June 11, 2012 4:38 pm @KevinAB, while it is always tempting to make guesses about such things, I would say that you should be weary of trying to get an exact fit out of a metaphor. I think that you could find any kind of rationalizations to say most any member of either team is a democrat or a republican (or perhaps even a Libertarian).
