Batman and Robin is an interesting series. The first arc of the series with Morrison and Quietly was an instant…

June 30, 2012 11:16 am Burnham is up his game in this series. He previous work is great but what he is doing here is moving him from my top ten favorite artists into my top 5. The dude is skilled. I want him on a Superman title after he wraps up his work on Bats.
May 6, 2012 7:11 am I'm not criticizing actual legal doctrine in the Marvel Universe or complaining that Daredevil's mock trial should have been more real. I'm criticizing the feel of the classroom setting, especially for the subject chosen, the personality of the professor, especially for the subject chosen, and the interaction between the the law professor and law students. Law school and particular classes within law school are very unique settings. In comics the law can be whatever the writer decides but the inaccuracy of the setting should not take one out of the story. The setting and characters in this story are comparable to a story set during a High School football game where players are playing on a 50 yard field, with no lineman, no pads, talking about how much they deplore violence, and the announcer is commenting that 4 players on the team are going directly from High School to the pros.
May 5, 2012 10:05 pm Terrible story with grating writing. Fortunately Samnee's art and the $2.99 price point keeps this issue from being a total loss. Waid probably should have sat in on a few estates and trusts classes before he wrote this issue or talked with a law student, or maybe done some research on law school.

February 25, 2012 4:11 pm Blasphemy. Hardman is an absolute beast on art. His strengths are storytelling and inventive page layouts and in these areas, no one is better. Hardman is definitely not a photo realistic artist so his facial features aren't always perfect but his strengths greatly exceed any weakness.
February 18, 2012 3:30 am I warmed up to Tocchini's art a bit in his second issue but I find it a poor fit for Remender's story. I'm not doubting Tocchini's pure artistic talent but his style doesn't seem to fit with the style Remender is using on Uncanny X-force. Tocchini style may work perfectly on other titles, but I X-force requires a cleaner, simplier style because of the depth and complexity of the content. I find Morrison's writing also requires clean and simple artistic style to effectively mess with his complex storytelling. In the comments there are a few that enjoy his art on the title but most don't like it at all. I wonder if the majority of the readers of the site are in-line with the commentors. A poll on this issue would be interesting.
February 18, 2012 3:20 am Agreed. It's funny I'm dropping Secret Avengers starting with #26 because the title is tying in with AvX and there is a new artist . On the other hand, I'm staying with this title, despite the current rough arc, because it isn't tying in with AvX and I dig the art change. A love how now I consider tie-ins a good jumping off point for series I'm reading, because when I first started reading comics, I felt compelled to read all of the tie-ins.
February 12, 2012 8:31 am The X-books are currently Marvel's best selling and creatively successful titles. If Bendis were going into the X-men Universe, a status quo change would likely result. I don't see Marvel wanting to mess with a good thing. Marvel should look at some lower selling or non-existent titles and have Bendis go wild on them.
February 6, 2012 7:28 am They're not Skrulls. It was confirmed about a month ago that the "alien" army are not Skrulls.
February 5, 2012 5:47 pm Wow, is this really $3.99 now? was strongly considering jumping on this title. I'm a Remender fan and am intrigued by the concept, but at $3.99, no way. Marvel why don't you want my money?
