July 17, 2013 8:15 pm Where did everybody go? In spite of the solicitation, Giannis Milonogiannis is the writer and artist on both main and backup stories. Once you get past page 8, the art looks more like preliminary sketches than finished work. The backup is B&W. Typically, Prophet's good for 10-15 minutes of reading, scanning details, etc. This issue? Maybe 2. What happened? Did I miss the memo on Prophet?
April 10, 2013 4:31 pm Josh, I agree with you 110%. I just wanted to clarify one bit: "A Clockwork Orange" wasn't officially "banned by the UK". Director Stanley Kubrick withdrew it from distribution because he was disturbed that it was being scapegoated as a defense (or should I say defence) in rape/assault cases and his family was getting threats. His art, his prerogative. Now, as for the Saga frames under discussion. Come on. :) If I were being cynical, I might think they were put there to start a controversy. They certainly don't do anything for the story.
October 9, 2012 10:08 am I've spent a few hours with it and it's amazing. Fans of Mr. Ware will recognize some of the material -- the page shown above with the actual-sized baby is from Kramer's Ergot 7; the NY Times Magazine series he did several years ago is presented here as a hardcover "Little Golden Book". The New Yorker pieces he did recently about Money and Masks are here. But a lot of the material was new to me, and I'm pretty obsessive about him. Having it all on heavy stock in a beautiful box is wonderful. I can't believe it's ONLY $50 (and I got it for $28 at Amazon). He's speaking in Cambridge,MA with Charles Burns and Chip Kidd on 10/11!

>Will I still be reading comics when I’m forty-five?

Heck, I didn't start until I was over 50!
