January 7, 2009 3:31 pm I would LOOOOOVVVVEEE to see iFanboy go X-Fanboy... and the X is for Xtreme. How great would that be? Josh could wear a Cameo "Word Up" outfit, Ron could get back in his Goth Costume, and Connor could dress up as one of the Baseball gang members from The Warriors. That would be so awesome!

I'll definately pony up some bucks... but I'd give more if they went Xtreme. They could have booty-babes in bikinis dancing around in the background while some gothy-emo music is playing in the background. They could have faux-sex with a snake like Britney Spears. Make a sex tape. Have conversations about which comic book hero (including the guys) would be good in bed. It'd be like Howard Stern but with comics. That would be so Xtreme!
January 6, 2009 10:50 pm Sorry if I offended you guys about going transparent and talking about how much Rev3 pays you. I just think that it would be very interesting to turn your "reality show" into a "real reality show". I would love to know the behind the scenes stuff of who's kissing who, who's talkin' to who, who knows who, what Rev3 does to you guys, how many people download the podcast or video show. It's interesting and would really make you closer to the listeners/viewers. I want to hear about the iFanboy's sex life, struggles getting interviews, and how the behind the scenes stuff goes.

It would be so interesting. Almost a meta-podcast... doing all the great stuff you do... plus adding in the reality stuff. That would be so awesome! You could loosen up the show and do some real crazy stuff and topics.... how about HOTTEST COMIC CHICKS? or dressing up on camera like that goth show... I know you guys want an audience and it would grow if you got a little more "edgy" and "open".

I love the show and I'll be sure to donate some money to keep you around. I think 1UP went down today and I'm hoping you guys stick around... but there is no reason to be doing it if you aren't making enough money. I LOVE YOU GUYS... so don't take my posts too seriously. Just throwing out ideas.
January 6, 2009 5:08 pm I would be more than happy to donate money if you guys would go "fully transparent". I really would like to know how little you guys make and how much you make from Revision3. I'm a huge fan but I'd like to know how they're screwing you guys. Do you make $100 a show? The video shows aren't nearly as good as the weekly audio show. I'm just being honest. I'd love to throw some money at you guys... but puuuullllleeeeease let us know how much you make now. PBS releases all the information when they ask for donations. Why aren't podcasters more straight forward with their "reality" of struggling to "make it" believe me, you'd have a lot more listeners that would be a lot closer and faster to support you the more details you give out.
November 19, 2008 8:49 pm I bet this will skyrocket Sonia's fame as an iFan... girl! More Sonia! More Sonia! More Sonia! (chant)
November 13, 2008 2:50 pm I think that's horrible that you were in pain for so long. I'm glad you made it out of that mess.

I don't even buy single issues. I tried to at one point but the cost and the time it takes (and the frustration of missing one issue in a run) drove me nuts. I just don't have that kind of time to track down and pay for stories.

I buy Trades because they're much more satisfying. I can read a run in a night or two and it's affordable. I don't even think I would read comics if the trades didn't exist.

It can be frustrating to wait a few months or a year for a trade but it's just a matter of being 6 months or a year behind what's "new". I've trained myself to not get caught up in "hype" and advertising where I have to have all the new stuff. I love reading old books that have been around for a hundred years and are always available... I've kind of done the same with comic trades. If it's still around and in print the chances are it's important and good. It's the new stuff that doesn't last long. I prefer trades.

I really think iFanboy should focus more on trades than monthlies because eventually the monthly books will only be read by the hardcore enthusiast who's budget can afford the $4 and $5 books. Also, I should mention that there are so many other forms of entertainment that have gotten cheaper while comics get more expensive. Movie rentals are a buck or two through Netflix, the internet has thousands of podcasts, Magazine subscriptions are dirt cheap these days, TV is now in High Def over the air, Twitter, I.M., Library books, Newspapers, Books, etc... all compete for our dollar... you've got to be real hardcore to be paying $4 for 22 pages...

Also, keep in mind that Trades (most of the popular ones) are usually available at the library now... and comics aren't.

November 5, 2008 9:24 pm You probably already heard this but I'm only getting left channel audio from both the streaming and the WMV download. It's not that big of a deal.
October 19, 2008 8:32 pm Am I the only one who isn't getting into the Watchmen hype? I couldn't care less about a movie. How can you ever compare the book to a movie. It's like Beloved the book to Beloved the movie. Who cares about a movie based on the greatest graph. novel of all time? Alot. Okay. Alot of people care... but how many of them never read the end texts or couldn't "underSHTand" the book? I don't need a "cliff notes" version of Watchmen and I am under protest of seeing the movie.

I also am a huge Batman fan and didn't see Dark Knight in the theater. My TV doesn't have annoying people sitting behind me eating popcorn loudly. Movies are so 90s.
October 19, 2008 8:28 pm I got pooped out on Smallville during the third season many years back. I missed out I guess. I just have such limited time to watch TV or DVDs. My a human being not a human watching, LOL.
October 15, 2008 8:46 pm I tried to watch this series but failed miserably. I'm kind of disappointed in myself. I just never got into it. I don't like the characters. I don't really like the stories. The most important aspect to "getting addicted" to a show is if it has a hot girl that any hot blooded guy can crush on. Although the cheerleader was hot it was still kinda creepy in my "date-dreams". I'm a little too old to crush on a high schooler... and the dual personality chick is just too brutal.

I never really got into the show.
