Holy Crap - YES.  I was not buying Cera as Scott Pilgrim, but I am officially sold.  This looks perfect.

The iFanboy Skip Week Challenge 2009!

On Dec 29, 2009 3:49 PM

My Recs:  1)Gaurdians of the Galaxy-the best thing Marvel is putting out. Funny, interesting - the whole deal 2)Greg Pak Hulk stuff - I just re-connected with the whole bag (even New Savage She-Hulk) - Hulk, Incredible Hulk, Son of Hulk.  It's this whole cosmic world going on that's almost as good as the Abnett and Lanning -verse. 3)Daredevil - Diggle is doing a great job 4)Aston...

09.16.2009 - Venegance of The Moon Knight #1

On Sep 17, 2009 12:09 AM

Great Pick.  Moon Knight has always been one of my favorites - second only to DD.  However, they have always managed to waste him on crappy comics.  The last series was pretty horrible - so much so that I dropped it for awhile. Bad art, very bad writting and just plain terrible.  Here is hoping they will give Moon Knight the shot he deserves.

Definitely my pick of the week!  Mysterious, beautiful, haunting and then some.  Everybody needs to check out Essex County and the Nobody - this guy is really working on a completely different level. I am so excited to see what he does with an ongoing.

07.15.2009 - Scalped #30

OK, I love Scalped - it is one of the best things going. Unfortunately I'm in trades, so I wont read #30 for awhile. But..COME ON - Blackest Night is more than just an event. If this keeps going at this level - BN will be in the same league as the classics.  POW = BN#1 and Tales of the Corp.

09.24.2008 - Marvel: 1985 #5

On Sep 24, 2008 8:50 PM

I Love this book.  This book IS me circa 1985.  I would cry from nostalgia if it wasn't so entertaining.  My parents were divorced and I would spend the weekends with my unshaved dad who took me to comic stores in his VW bus.  This book has so much heart.  I am not afraid to say it...I Love Mark Millar.  Anyone who can write something as F'ed up as Kick-Ass and th...

iFanboy - Episode #76: WANTED

On Jun 28, 2008 12:21 PM

I can map my return to comics in stages.  I originally collected comics in now what will be referred to as the "1985" heyday with X-men and Daredevil when they were cool and "intense."  My favorite was Daredevil - I was sold after he dropped Bullseye in #181.  Enter age 13 and the discovery of music - no more comics (I guess I was fortunate to miss the 90's f...

04.02.2008 - Action Comics #863

On Apr 2, 2008 2:47 PM

I have to go with Secret Invasion #1 - There were things I didn't like - the whole setup with stealing the jet and racing to the Savage Land was downright STUPID - but then, holy crap, boom-boom-boom the shit hit the fan right quick, and I was in all the way.  Kick-ass is still good but more of a "middle issue."  I liked Young X-men more than I thought I would for the p...

02.27.2008 - Kick-Ass #1

On Feb 28, 2008 1:17 AM

This book was great!  I don't really understand the anti-Millar vibe.  In terms of authors, here's how it goes for me 1) Ellis, 2) Millar, 3) Bendis, etc.  Millar = Wanted, Ultimates - fun, exciting, surprising comics.  This book is more of that.  This book makes me enjoy and get excited about reading comics.
