So it may not be a conscious policy. But, it's also been pointed out that many of these comics are shipping more often.
So, hypothetically:
12 issues a year, 22 pages an issue, $3 an issue = 264 pages for $36
13 issues a year, 20 pages an issue, $3 an issue = 260 pages for $39
(But I am, and so don't miss my five bucks in the slightest.)
