MountNJ - frankly, I'd start at the beginning and stop watching around season 4 or 5. Yes, I keep watching, and I enjoy it (for some reason), but everything after the first four seasons is really just watching Clark spin his wheels until he becomes Superman. Somehow they just keep thinking up new reasons to keep him from actively using his superpowers to help people. He only started doing that about halfway through last season.
I don't know, I guess it's just me. It's hard for me to say that I LIKE Smallville. I really enjoyed the beginning, but after that not so much. And I'm really hoping Chloe doesn't stay off the show for long. She's typically the one thing that grounds it for me and makes it watchable...
August 6, 2010 4:16 pm fflick is a waste of time. The site is only getting buzz because Twitter is such an over-hyped service and anything attached to it automatically rides its hype coat-tails. I would never, ever trust that service to even give me a reliable read of what people think of the movie, let alone let the Twitterverse sway me either way on a movie. What the hell do I care what random people on Twitter think of a movie, especially one they haven't even seen?
My biggest logic problem was why Magneto need to move that bridge. For some reason he decides to move the entire Golden Gate Bridge just to transport a few dozen mutants? Ratner is a jackass who just wanted a cool/grand effect and forgot to write in a reason for it to happen...
March 31, 2010 6:49 pm I'm confused, what is updated? I read the story when you posted it two days ago, and it showed up in my feed reader, but I'm having a hard time telling what the new information is. Lil' help?
I need some help here. I'm not nearly as hard-core a comics reader as many of you here, so I'm a bit lost. I read all of the Astonishing X-Men, but I gathered that series had ended. How am I, as a more casual reader, supposed to know where and when the story is going to continue? Was "Astonishing X-Men" part of "Uncanny X-Men" cannon? If so, I just want to know where I need to pick up on Uncanny in order to continue the story. I assume it's before this book.
Sorry, but how on earth am I supposed to know these things? It gets really frustrating sometimes.
Oh, and Ron, I completely disagree with you regarding spoilers. It is possible to avoid them. Of course, it helps when the media is responsible and doesn't give these things away.
@msarsur "Please please please don't put an airhead from High School Musical, Twilight or something of the sort to play Peter Parker."
Exactly what I'm afraid of. They'll get some unknown guy that'll appeal to tweeners. Ugh.
Then again, I simply did not like Tobey Maguire in the role one bit. I thought he was awful in all three films. SOOO wish that Jake Gyllenhaal had gotten it originally.
JGL is probably too old, though as others have pointed out he's not much older than Tobey when he started. Still, he's an incredible actor (Mysterious Skin is tough to watch but a good film and he's incredible in it).

To continue the "we won't be fine" director list:
Paul W.S. Anderson
