Trailer: THE AVENGERS: EARTH’S MIGHTIEST HEROES! Season 2!
March 22, 2012 2:28 pm I saw the first episode of season 2 (at a convention) and really enjoyed it. It seems like Marvel is bringing in a ton of new characters from their universe this season. It should be a great season.
Oh, and I'm looking forward to that intro song. Rock On!

DC UNIVERSE ONLINE LEGENDS #24
February 27, 2012 7:36 pm I agree 923. It's been enjoyable. The series is a strong DC independent story for readers who don't read a lot of DC...like myself. Oh, and it comes out every other week...which is nice.

Another One Bites The Dust: MOON KNIGHT to End with #12
January 24, 2012 7:38 pm Really liking a comic book title these days is a lot like having an orgasm. Sure you can wait longer for one collected addition to come out and possibly make the read more fulfilling in it's entirety, thus giving you one huge moment of pleasure. Or...you can just get the issues one at a time and enjoy many smaller orgasms of joy with the occasional month where you have to wait till next since the last issue was more of just a tease. In those cases you have to fulfill your needs with an issue of DareDevil or something. It's not cheating...you're just fulfilling your needs.
On an unrelated note: no one should ever touch my comics.

December 15, 2011 6:10 pm I'm looking forward to Robbi's issue for sure. By the way, I believe he will be signing copies at The Comic Bug in Manhattan Beach, CA on Wednesday.
Ron, you should ask Conor to snag you a signed copy.

The iFanboy Letter Column – 12.09.2011
December 9, 2011 4:24 pm If you just kind of like comics and are looking for a shop with people who will actually have conversations with you in LA, check out The Comic Bug in Manhattan Beach. If you aren't best friends with Mike Wellman by trip #2 there's something wrong with you. 2 weeks after I met Mike he asked me to be his son's godfather...he literally made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
The shop isn't the biggest and doesn't carry a ton of statues or side products, but the Comic Bug doesn't place their staff a foot higher than you like some old school pharmacist. They are down with the people, and the people...are down with them.

My Digital Comics Manifesto
October 25, 2011 12:54 pm Sometimes people mention the pricing not being right for them to get into digital comics, but for me, the pricing ends up being a big reason I enjoy comics digital...and specifically on the iPad.
I swear there are $.99 sales everyday. Every Monday Marvel has a $.99 sale on select titles, and they often have them on Fridays, as well. DC will do $.99 sales quite often as well. This past weekend every Superman/Batman (the series) issue was $.99...including the 40+ page annuals and special edition issues. If one is patient enough, they can get some great deals.
In terms of preferring the iPad specifically, I enjoy it because of the iTunes gift cards. It makes it easy for friends and family to give the gift of comics without having to worry about going to your specific shop or getting you a certain book. When I make an in app purchase from the dc, marvel or comixology app the purchase is simply taken from my iTunes credits. It's very easy and you don't have to worry about looking at your CC or debit card statement to sift through all the minor purchases because you've used iTunes credits you got from gift cards.
I love digital comics.
