Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye is a Terrible Archer
March 22, 2012 1:57 pm As a former archery instructor, it's actually always bugged me how Hawkeye (and other archers) hold their bows, so I loved that article

February 15, 2012 – Peter Panzerfaust #1
February 18, 2012 10:11 am "If you’re like me, you’re also going to read Peter as being David Tennant"
THAT'S who I was reading it like. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what voice I was doing it in

January 18, 2012 – Batman #5
January 18, 2012 6:54 pm There was so much about this issue that I liked, so that even if the end of the arc tanks (which I highly doubt it will), I'd still call it a success. I love things that play with the medium (like the "Choose Your Own Adventure" issue of The Unwritten), and I loved everything in this, from Harvey Bullock pulling a reverse Batman to start it all off to Damian at the end, I really, REALLY can't wait for the next issue.

New Comics for 12.21.2011 is so tired… so very tired
December 19, 2011 4:40 pm Just a few DC books this week plus Uncanny X-Force, so that's nice. Won't be getting them 'til next Wednesday though (or Thursday, whatever day they come out after christmas).
BQ: 2 hours. I was traveling a lot and I've never learned the trick for how to sleep on trains without drugs sleep aides, it didn't end especially well, I think I was out for close to 20 hours when I finally got to sleep

New Comics for 11.23.2011 is bound for the city by the bay
November 21, 2011 3:38 pm A normal-sized week for me, maybe 5 or 6 books plus a hardcover (the Black Mirror). Really excited for a lot of them, though
BQ: Lunch with my mom, then going over to see my dad's family

How I Failed STARBORN
November 21, 2011 12:23 pm Yes! I haven't read Skullkickers, but will be getting the trades soonish. The Unwritten and The Sixth Gun are two of my favorite stories... never got into Starborn though. Although weren't those Stan Lee Presents... books all supposed to just be maxi-series anyway? I thought I'd heard that around issue 3 or 4

Comic Fans and the Conundrum of General Interest
November 2, 2011 2:05 pm Other than comics, I love baseball (although that could be considered "general interest" and I'm a major mythology/classical history nerd. I was a classics major in college (focusing on the Roman Empire and Mythology) and I relate damn near everything back to it. Despite the fact that I'm 22, I still read Rick Riordan's books to see how he makes myths modern.

October 26, 2011 – Wolverine and the X-Men #1
October 31, 2011 8:42 am This was Bachalo? Hmm... I usually don't dig his art but I liked this for some reason. AS for the words... there were a lot of words. Like, A LOT. I think I'll need to read it again to see if it bugs me the second time...

New Comics for 10.26.2011 is almost too old for TV advertisers to really care
October 24, 2011 9:05 pm Really excited to see if All-Star Western and Aquaman will hold up. Pretty light week otherwise...
BQ: Me? I'm 22 (just barely at that, turned that age in August)
