Sooo funny..! I always cringe when people criticize Joss Whedon. It’s always, “He thinks he’s so great, but the only…

This was awesome! I haven’t been this excited about DD in years. I haven’t looked forward to “the next issue”…

September 28, 2011 7:54 am I hate not recognizing the last forty+ years of Spider-Man stories? I understand that his marriage to Mary Jane wasn't the best Spider-Man moment, but they could have gotten a divorce. It would have been easier than swallowing Mephisto having THAT much power, and not using it for..I don't know...world domination. Captain American of the sixties and seventies with Stan Lee, Jim Sternako, and Gene Colan was NOT afraid of a gun, or of killing a hydra agent or two. The Cap of 2011 is weak. And I haven't seen a good Emma storyline since Joss Whedon!
September 25, 2011 7:24 pm I agree. While I'm sooo tired of all of these cross-overs...having to collect or hunt down comics I wouldn't normally read in order to understand the story lines of the ones I do... Kieron and Greg did an amazing job. l'm only sad to hear that they are going to be rebooting our favorite characters (yet again). I miss getting to know the characters over the years of collecting them. I miss when writers and artists stuck around for more than a few months. I miss continuity between the changing writers and artists. And I miss when I could afford to collect them.
September 16, 2011 10:32 am Sadly, Iron Fist hasn't been the same since they cancelled the original PowerMan and IronFist comic. Like Elektra, he's been watered down to the point of complete ambalence.
September 12, 2011 7:57 pm Wow..I'm astonished..! Between Batman:year one and Daredevil, Frank and David created beautifully-rendered timeless stories. I was so excited watching David's work mature so quickly; and it was the first time in so long that Frank had done anything marvel that every page was just golden!
September 12, 2011 4:42 pm i agree! I'm sooo tired of the Bendis cross-overs! I'm a big fan of his writing, but you can tell he's stretched thin when all the characters in the books he writes all have the same script. I miss the individual stories.
September 11, 2011 3:42 pm 'Been a fan and collector of DD since the Gil Kane/Gene Colan years. Rarely did I complain about the creative team(with the exception of the initial Dennis O'Neil stuff). I complained a lot-and subsequently stopped collecting after Ann Nocenti took over all the way up to the end of the first volume. I was happy with Smith and Mack as writers, but fell back in love when Bendis took the reigns. This is the first time since Bendis left that I've been happy with a creative team. Both the writer and the artist have propelled DD back into my monthly shopping list. Matt/Foggy/DD are as they should be. Did I dislike the previous story arcs..? Not as much as the way in which they were handled (but I didn't love the story arcs). THIS I love! This team should remain for a long time!
