May 22, 2012 10:21 am The problem with Smallville is that nothing ever happened naturally, it was always the result of some misuse of powers or kryptonite or magic. The death of his father was the same way with all the alternate reality setup and everything. The worse example of this was the split from Lana, where it was because of kryptonite he could never see her again, and not because he chose to be with Lois. Compare that stuff with "The Body" when Joyce Summers died. Now that's how you handle a death on a tv show.
May 7, 2012 1:23 pm I felt the same way up until last year... for me, Jeff Parker's Hulk book has vastly exceeded my expectation for Hulk comics. It doesn't feature the Bruce Banner Hulk, but you might want to give a shot to the Parker/Hardman issues sometime.
April 26, 2012 8:22 am I really like Ig Guara, but I missed Booth this issue. Anyone know if he's coming back, or has he left the title?
April 19, 2012 4:25 pm Was it just Jamie? I can't remember, and I read it yesterday.
April 19, 2012 4:22 pm I liked it. After 7 issues of basically getting oriented, it was nice to see her in a different situation altogether. Changes like that keeps the story feeling fresh. Not sure if I'd like it every month though.
April 19, 2012 3:12 pm I just read through that link. Couple of thoughts: You are right, the final product is not upto par. I got a sketch from Dennis Calero last year, and I believe I paid $150 for it. It was of Man-Thing and it took him several hours to finish. The final sketch was fantastic, and had the same dark/shadowy qualities as the Batman piece. It was on 11 X17 and is one of my favorite pieces. Dennis was also very friendly to talk to, and whenever he saw us gave us updates on the piece. The only thing I can figure is that he got mixed up on what was being asked for and did a quick sketch instead of his usual stuff. There's no way that was made using the same technique/tools as he usually uses for his top level sketches.
April 9, 2012 2:16 pm I loved the last three; the rest of them, not so much.
April 3, 2012 10:27 am I'm a bit confused on the publication history; does this story take place after Supreme #62 or after Supreme: The Return #6. Are those the same issues? Wikipedia says Moore wrote until Supreme #56, but I've got issues up through 62 at home with his name on it. Just one of the fringe benefits of comics as a hobby; trying to make sense of "re-number"ings, "re-title"ings, and relaunchings years after the fact.
April 3, 2012 10:14 am Also, while usually not a superHERO, the Blob has a great circus origin.
April 2, 2012 11:09 am I think Emmy Rossum's proven her stuff on Shameless to the point she's a bit unlikely for such a non-leading part like this one.
