Bio: I'm your typical mid 20s comic book fan. As a kid I dabbled lightly in comics with x-men mostly but my real awakening to comics happend when my mother who was in the navy returned from an overseas trip with 3 huge bags filled with comics ranging from original UK Judge Dread to Avengers to Green Lantern to XO Man of War to God knows what I am forgetting. I kept pretty steady on comics moving through events like Zero Hour in DC to Onslaught in Marvel, Post onslaught during the "heroes reborn stories" I lost interest in the repetiveness I saw so I dropped out for a while, read some random trades here and there then around 2000 I was introduced to Top Cow and these comics brought back a passion like I never knew before (as well as a budget to sustain it) This coupled with the looming trade paperback revolution has kept me a happy comic fan steadily for coming close to a decade now.

    Marvel’s Next Big Thing: AVX Versus
    January 6, 2012 4:08 pm ooooh marvel is fighting dirty, they already had me at an avengers/x-men event because that took me back to my childhood, but now we are getting issues dedicated to brawls? I curse the plight of my credit card this summer. On a side note I think this will work well for this event, but I hope it doesn't get inserted into every event marvel does for now on.

    UPDATED: Dark Horse Comics Goes Day and Date Digital; Prices Cheaper Than Print? (No.)
    December 5, 2011 11:24 am as my comic pickings have slimmed since my personal move to digital I imagine this to be a good thing as that leaves a few dollars unspent in my comics fund that I can now put on bprd and hellboy as they come out. Now if only boom would move to day and date and just make darkwing duck digital I could probably get everything I want in a month digitally.
