Name: Jeff Sandquist
I am a Certified Athletic Trainer and chiropractic student born, raised and schooled in Minnesota. I enjoy comic books of all kinds, action figures, cartoons (especially 80s) and movies (especially horror and Kevin Smith flicks). It was Wolverine, the 90s X-Men cartoon and Marvel trading cards that got me into comics. My favorite creator/writer/artist is Sam Kieth. I especially love his Wolverine and The Maxx. I used to only read Marvel and Image but in the past few years I have opened up to all publishers. Recently I have been catching up on the classics such as Kingdom Come and just about anything Alan Moore or Frank Miller have done. I have also been enjoying the new classics such as Y the Last Man and Fables. I am open reading new books and thanks to iFanboy I have been introduced to great books like Scalped.

On Jun 1, 2009 11:09 PMWhen G.I. Joe Resolute came out a few months ago someone posted that "Warren Ellis raped my childhood and had a really big dick." Personally I LOVED Resolute and feel this way about this flick just from the trailer. I will still be seeing it but I am not holding my breath, especially since all The Mummy movies sucked hard.

On May 28, 2009 10:48 AMTHANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Aside from the 90s X-Men cartoon it was Sam Kieth's version of Wolverine and The Maxx that caught my eye and got me into comics. I have been waiting so long for an updated interview with Sam since most I have found were from the late 80s and early 90s. Thanks again for covering this AMAZING artist/writer/storyteller!!!

Now if only Disney would finish releasing Gargoyles I would be even happier. Also glad to see that the X-Men cartoon from the 90s I finally coming to DVD in volumes starting in May.

On Dec 15, 2008 4:12 PMLooks good but still a little nervous about it based on a few parts of the trailer. I hope that Deadpool ends up burned/scarred by the end of the film, Blob looks good but kind of ridiculous at the same time, and Sabertooth looks to be about the same height/size as Wolverine which is another concern of mine. But I will still be lining up at the theater to see it when it comes out.

On Nov 3, 2008 5:00 PMFinally a slow week. Only 2 for sure books and a few maybes after I flip through them on the racks. Just a quick plug - if you are a professional wrestling fan (like me) check out Headlocked: The Tryout #1 (of 3) that comes out this week. I have no personal connection with this book I just love that there is a wrestling comic book that actually looks pretty good. You can read more about it ...

On Sep 22, 2008 11:44 AMKnow I know...And knowing is half the battle...GI JOE!!! Great article and great Joe to pick on. As I got older I always thought Snow Job was a hilarious name. The crazy outfits and names is my favorite part of GI Joe personally. Glad to see the Chuckles (Hawaiian flower shirt guy) cuz he has always been my favorite Joe for some reason ever since I saw the GI Joe Movie were he is only in it for...
