June 10, 2009 9:25 pm no more emailing my pull list to have it at my LCS (Midtown Comics, NYC)
October 23, 2008 9:30 pm next episode: Superboy Prime. We were all duped!
June 17, 2008 10:10 pm This arc should end now. The characters have such little depth. The only points of it that I enjoy (minimally) are ties to the Crisis events that are happening. If anyone ready Trinity 2, that was a better take on the current Flash than these past 3 issues.
June 17, 2008 10:03 pm @GungaDin - The storyline definitely meandered for a few issues. Here's hoping that it gets back on track with this one.   Buffy's arc has been much more contiguous, and I'd like to see more of that in this book.
June 17, 2008 9:51 pm @Guardedmarman - Marvel seems to ship very close to on-time, and sometimes early. I usually get New Avengers, Spider-Man and Thor before Wednesday. I live in NYC, so that might have something to do with it.  Oddly, the ultimate universe Marvel comics are typically a week late. DC Comics are ALWAYS at least a week late.

@chrs7637

I subscribe to a Marvel Subscription for this book, and it comes in the mail as early as Monday sometimes.  Sorry to put up a review too early though. I didn't know it was appropriate to wait until comic book day.

June 16, 2008 10:13 pm This book is all setup right now, and as a result, it's disappointing in the 'wait and see' way they are releasing it. I'm still buying it, and hopeful to see something come out of it.

@conor

Yes, Kara identified the screens, ran down the hall, pressed the big red stop button at the last second, and everyone agreed it might be Earth.

 but is it?

Frankly though, we don't even know if it really is Earth. It could be a stepping stone planet to get to Earth.

What makes this show particularly interesting are the relationship dynamics, like those between Adama <-> roslin, Adama<->Kara, Adama<->Sol, etc., and between the groups, e.g. Final four<-> rest of humanity, Baltar's followers<->Non-followers, etc., coupled with the societal metaphors (parallels to Iraq War and Guantanamo prisoner facility during the occupation series, faith vs. fact, polarized societies based upon how/where someone is born). It's all great stuff.

Yeah, the sci fi stuff is kick-ass. The atmosphere drop during exodus, the concept of resurrection hubs,  'living' ships, etc, but much of that is just very cool candy. OK, the atom-drop was WAY cool.

On the note of 'candy', we still don't know if it's Earth, what will happen when the other cylons eventually meet the Galactica crew and their 'allied' Cyclons, why is Kara's ship 'clean', what is going to happen with the final 4, who the final 5 is, etc.

This is one of the best series out there, and the season was strong.

Well done.  This was my favorite of the week, too.

I couldn't help but think that all of the crazy team building was leading up to a slaughter of many of them as I read this issue.   Hawkman took a pretty big hit to the chest, but perhaps it only hit the centerpieces of his wing-vest thing.
