July 2, 2012 4:31 pm I love the old-school vibe. It's like new adventures of the old FF, but with different characters and not a ton of continuity to bog things down. I wouldn't want every comic to be like this, but I really enjoy it.
June 25, 2012 2:28 pm ScorpionMasada: Yeah, Marvel Team-Up and Ultimate X-Men didn't make Kirkman the powerhouse he is, that was his own blood, sweat and tears, as well as those of his co-creators. USPUNX: Probably not, but it's a pretty bold statement to make that is rather broad and could be seen to include a lot of people.
June 25, 2012 2:02 pm Wait, wait, talking about the indie guys that have left the Big Two, you mention "badmouthing the very people who made them what they are".... so the Big Two made these very talented writers and artists that left? It wasn't the actual quality of their work that defined who they are? Couldn't one argue it's the work of these creators that made the Big Two what they are? Brubaker is leaving Cap to go focus on more creator-owned stuff. So Marvel letting him write Cap made Brubaker successful enough to leave? And not more so that Brubaker made Captain America a relevant, high-quality comic again? Sheesh.
June 21, 2012 11:21 am I love when they would throw Stan and Jack, or even other members of the Bullpen into an issue back in the day. It was part of what made Marvel seem to stand out, it felt more real. I dig the panel, and maybe it's that love for these old moments that peeved be with the initial statement/joke/whatever.
June 21, 2012 9:57 am Oooh, can I make coy non-answers too? "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
June 21, 2012 9:35 am Wow, what a crappy comment after the image, "no one read the book." Seeing as Stan and Jack were long off the book before sales waivered enough to stop publishing, it's not even accurate either.
May 8, 2012 2:31 pm Definitely giving Mystery in Space a shot. Also try out Trio #1, guys.
May 1, 2012 12:25 pm Try out the Skeleton Key Color Special if your store has it!! That needs the spotlight. $3.50 cheap.
September 16, 2011 2:31 pm And neither hold a candle to Lobster Johnson.
September 13, 2011 11:54 am I cannot wait for this title! Perhaps the one I'm looking forward to the most. DnA back on one of my favorite comic series of the '90s. It will be see what new is brought to the plate, and I hope many are trying it out. A guy can only hope if sales on this are solid, maybe we'll see trades or an Omnibus of the first run.
