November 16, 2008 5:10 pm it's well deserved. this is the best comic book podcast that i've ever listened to. i listen every sunday while i'm making dinner.
October 30, 2008 6:09 pm the art work in this issue was really stiff and nonexpressive.

i love the smell of old comics as well. old books too, i used to go to used book stores all the time but since i moved the amount of old book store in this town is much much smaller. my friend told me that old book smell has a small halluciongenic effect. i don't know if that's true but it would explain a lot.

October 4, 2008 6:53 pm i thought this was a mini. i was going to wait and read comments on the issues and then pick or not pick up the trade. it sounded interesting i might have to pick the issue up.
October 4, 2008 6:46 pm it was a good first issue but i liked #0 better. it's pretty interesting so far.

a lot of the dialog in this book was complete shit. maybe fear toxin causes everyone to sound like an 80's action movie. if this is a rip tie-in shouldn't dick be knocked out? this story doesn't just not tie-in it seems to contradict the rip story line. i did like the way two-face was used so i gave it 3 stars.

i think the main reason cw changed dick's name to dj for the upcoming tv show is the jokes seen above. people just can't be called dick anymore and i'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. i'm going with good for now.

i wouldn't really call this a what-if story. mcduffie didn't really flesh out the alternate histories, just threw out some ideas. i guess i just want a return of the elseworlds stories so this reminded me what i was missing. it was interesting but i was hoping for better.

also if mcduffie ret-cons buddy into a meat eater i'm going to rally my vegan comic book fan friends together to riot. which would end up being me yelling "damn it" a lot.

i agree this is a series that reads great in issues. it's been interesting and leaves a lot of questions open.

i liked how this one incorporated the issue story into the larger story. in the other issues it was crazy shit going on with the house and then a story told by someone in the bar in the middle. this issue was more smooth.

i'm liking this series much more than gaiman's mini. i think that series turned people off from this one. i did see the hardcover trade as an employee pick at a bookstore in boulder so someone really liked it.

this series hasn't blown me away but it's a interesting and solid read every month.

i agree with MagicMadcap if it's a rock and roll comic it would be a shame not to have spiders from mars. but i haven't read the series yet either, i'll probably get the trade.

my summer pick has to be wolverine. i wouldn't have expected to pick up wolverine but jason aaron's run was great and i'm digging millar's as well.

i'll miss you mini.
