April 10, 2013 3:26 pm Thank you! I am so sick of this topic. It was never about gay anything. Somebody was getting "finished" on. I can see why Comixology thought it might not meet Apple's ToS. Comixology never refused to sell the book, they simply used their judgement on whether or not Apple would accept it, and ensured their customer base was aware of the other options to purchase from them. Then, when they were wrong, the CEO personally publishes a mea culpa. Bottom line, this is not anti anything, personally, the whole ordeal makes me feel better about the company I choose to purchase my comics from (Comixology). Also, as an "unapologetic Apple fan-boy," I think it's a ridiculous to accuse them of being Anti-Gay, when Tim Cook is their CEO. Josh, thanks for being the voice of reason here.

November 19, 2012 2:25 pm I have to agree that I think Marvel is a bit over priced. While I don't know the economics of the big 2 vs the other independent publishers, people are putting out good books for $2.99, including DC. I don't understand why Marvel does $3.99. It seems to me that if more people spoke with their wallet this would change. It's almost as if complaining on the internet has no affect whatsoever on how Marvel prices their books... p.s. Not taking a dig at anybody here. I am clearly guilty of complaining on the internet about Marvel's prices as much as the next guy.

November 19, 2012 12:53 pm One last thing, I also buy all my comics with iTunes cards that I purchase through BJs or Costco because they sell them at a slightly reduced price (typically on the order of 5-10%). I also keep an eye out for box stores that offer sales of iTunes cards as well. Target and Best Buy frequently have sales ranging from 20%-50% off. I stockpile those when they happen.
