May 24, 2012 9:47 pm Good first issue--it jumps right in! Reminded me of when an movie begins with a 10-15 minute action piece. Just enough hints of the characters to have a first impression of them, while teasing about the depth and complications beneath the surface. Simon Gane's Godzilla looks like the monster from the 1990s, the same style as from the 90s Dark Horse books. Nice detail work from Simon on that--love is inks--and Rhonda Patterson's colors are suitably gloomy during the night time scene. Very nice work overall as a first issue.
February 13, 2012 11:33 pm All signs point to Jason Ciaramella having a big surprise for us in this issue--can't wait! P.S. Yeah iFanboy, what's up? Where's the cover image for this? ]:-\
January 26, 2012 3:50 pm IDW's Godzilla schedule looks like this February: Kingdom of Monsters #12, Godzilla Legends #4 March: Godzilla Legends #5 April: No Godzilla Comics May: Launch of new Godzilla Series It's gonna be a looooooong April.
December 21, 2011 8:25 pm This is Godzilla Comics as they should be... Monster vs. Monster vs. Monster.... with two more Monsters waiting in the wings! Jason Ciaramella knows how to write an awesome Godzilla book, really glad to have him aboard.
December 19, 2011 2:02 pm This was a nice done-in-one story. It would have been cool if there was another monster for Rodan to brawl with. But, as it was, Simon Gane drew some pretty sweet pages of Rodan trashing military hardware.
November 16, 2011 11:15 am I agree. It would help if iFanboy would include a picture of the cover. Art Adams, Bob Eggleton, and Matt Frank each did one, and they all look pretty cool.
November 7, 2011 8:34 pm I think it is fair to say that this is the finest Godzilla story arc ever written in comics. Highly recommended.
October 27, 2011 2:32 pm I have nothing but confidence in Brian Azzarello's ability to tell an amazing story. This first issue certainly raises a lot of interesting questions, I'm looking forward to see how he explores this world and unravels the story.
October 26, 2011 11:23 pm Great editorial, Sir. What's hilarious is people are arguing about "Bags of Dicks".... priceless.
October 26, 2011 11:13 pm Giant. Monster. Beatdown. 'Nuff said!
