Heads Up: Image Comics Previews – July 2012
April 20, 2012 3:45 pm Image is pretty much my go-to publisher for the Awesome these days. And there is indeed plenty of Awesome on this list.

Heads Up: Image Comics Previews – July 2012
April 20, 2012 3:43 pm It's basically a PR move, getting a big name to write a forward. Kinda like saying, "Hey potential customer if you're a fan of Big Name Writer X, then you will probably enjoy this book too, because it's of similar taste and he liked it enough to write a intro for it."

Con Etiquette: How to Ask for a Sketch
April 19, 2012 1:21 pm In retrospect, I wish I had a theme for the sketchbook I started last year. I typically just see what I like from the artists and just go with that. But I love everything I have in there.
Anyway.. This is all good advice, Molly. I would also add that if, on the rare occation, an artist offers to do a quick free sketch for you then show your appreciation by buying something from their table. As stated above, it makes them feel good and you may even make a friend in the process.

MISTER TERRIFIC #8
April 12, 2012 1:28 pm FYI... O.M.A.C was the least bought book of the New 52. But that doesn't mean Mister Terric is off the hook. I had hopes for this book. Dropped it after two issues. The art was horrendous. And I will never forgive it for turning PG into a weak supporting cast member.

Exclusive Preview: BIRDS OF PREY #8
April 12, 2012 12:32 pm I think I'm trying out Birds and Suicide Squad once the artist shuffle goes into effect (I'm already on Animal Man and Resurrection Man). I guess this is one of the desired effects of such a move. DC is looking at me with a devilish smile as they take my money.

DC Histories: Power Girl
April 11, 2012 2:04 pm Make sure you check out the Terra trade as well. It's actually a precursor to the PG series with the same creative team and equally as good.

DC Histories: Power Girl
April 11, 2012 11:17 am Post-Infinite Crisis Kara is probably my favorite DC hero. At a time when Superman was lacking the fun, she filled the Kryptonian void nicely. Written by Johns in JSA, then the Palmiotti/Gray/Conner combo, followed by Winick. That stuff is gold to me. Very excited for World's Finest.

Pick of the Week – 04.04.2012 – Avengers vs. X-Men #1
April 4, 2012 10:56 pm This was the first Avengers and/or X-men book I've bought since the 90's... It was cool... I'm sticking with it. That says something.

Nightwing: Where Do I Start?
March 21, 2012 11:09 am Hmmmmm.., Batman Reborn over The Black Mirror??? In my opinion Snyder gave us the definitive Grayson as Batman story, and one of the best Batman stories, period. I do like the stuff with Damian in Reborn. So if there is ever a "Where Do I Start: Damien Wayne" than Reborn belongs on that. But Black Mirror is definitely more of a (and better) Dick Grayson story.
