May 24, 2012 6:39 pm "Looks like your mother's trying to get my attention again." Yeah that was good. I've exchanged many looks like that with my father after my mom has done something completely irrational. Like having her man-bat ninjas drop a fat man from the sky for instance. Women.
May 24, 2012 5:54 pm Goddamnit it's good to read Morrison Batman again. I really enjoyed this. I've been busy and didn't get a chance to do my usual Morrison refresher read of the pre-N52 Inc., and I was a little worried I'd forget something crucial. But this was all pretty straight forward and familiar. Burnham even looks like he's kicked it up a notch. Good comics. Between the heavy darkness of Snyder's Batman, the wicked badassery of Tomasi's B&R, and the romping fun of Morrison's Inc., it's a great time to be a Batman fan. @ all you naysayers: "Resist us and there will be no mercy. Join us and eat well. Morrison devours the mighty. Be with us completely. Or be our mortal enemy! HAIL MORRISON!" Bring on #2!!
May 23, 2012 9:14 pm @TNC: Cut the Nazis? No way man! Bruno's the best! Though I doubt we'll see swastikas tatooed on each tit. @Paul: HA!!
May 23, 2012 9:12 pm Bill Hader? Eddie Izzard? Ah the wonders of interpratation. For some reason DKR Joker has always reminded me of David Bowie.
May 23, 2012 4:44 pm SO pumped for this! I've always said that if they were gonna do this, they'd have to split it up. The story has a pretty natural break in it anyway after the Harvey Dent parts. Glad they went that way. Now for the real question: Who's gonna voice Joker?
May 23, 2012 4:42 pm @BionicDave: I hear Eastwood as well. Every time I read it. I may be wrong, but I think I once read somewhere that Miller Heard Eastwood when he was writing it too.
May 18, 2012 11:50 am They're definitely gonna need a bigger boat. Great stuff as always. Anka's Captain Marvel is my favorite. Nothing like a tasteful butt shot. Francavilla never lets me down. MacDonald's Beast is simple but something about it really appeals to me. Hellboy and Etrigan? Can we make that happen ASAP? Please? Foom and Godzilla looks less like a fight and more like they're arguing over directions. Zilla: "We're gonna be late! I knew I should've gotten the directions." Foom: "Will you relax?! Starro said once we came out of the subway it's three short blocks up, and two long blocks over. Maybe it's two longs blocks up and three - " Zilla: "Don't tell me to relax! Christ, I hate the East Side."
May 18, 2012 11:20 am Garth Ennis is writing The Shadow? I didn't know this. Cool! Anyone know if it's worth picking up? Interesting selections this week. That Hulk cover is breathtaking. The drama captured in those poses. Wow. Lee's Shadow cover is my favortie of the four Shadows, but Ross' is pretty decent too. I've come to expect more from Sook. Not sure what Chaykin's doin' here. Nothin special goin' on there. But then again I don't think I've ever liked a single thing I've seen him do, so maybe it's just me.
May 17, 2012 8:40 pm I agree this issue impressed me less than the first two, but it's still dripping with originality and BKV sweetness. Favorite moment: "I'm never picking up for that bitch again." "LYING" The Lying Cat is a gag that will probably never get old. I gotta get me one o' those.
May 17, 2012 6:30 pm More people will have read this article than the comic itself, so I don't see what the big deal is. If you ask me, neither the comic or this article do anything to help women's rights.
