Thank God and Stan and Jack for a comic where something actually happens.

May 8, 2012 3:11 pm The opening quote is so funny to me because, and this is 100% serious, I woke up this morning remembering that last week, Josh said that GoodFellas quotes make him laugh randomly. To which, after I woke up, I was going to tweet him with, "Go home and get your fucking shinebox."
February 2, 2012 1:29 pm The greatest Valentine's Day cards ever were done by Jacob Chabot (Mighty Skullboy Army): http://xringcircus.tripod.com/valentine.html http://xringcircus.tripod.com/valworst.html http://xringcircus.tripod.com/valentine_bs.html http://xringcircus.tripod.com/valpirates.html Period. Print them out and give 'em to yer sweetie!
October 28, 2011 5:18 pm Oh, and I also made a bunch of them public domain characters.
    October 28, 2011 5:17 pm I can't draw either, but I use http://fabricadeherois.blogspot.com/ and there's always Hero Machine too.
October 28, 2011 5:16 pm I was more or less registered since the beginning of the year. I've been doing a 100 Character Challenge where I create 100 new characters combining last year's 35 (yeah, I went over) and then I started at the beginning of this year with one a week. I'm at 77 now, so, I'm actually on pace to go over 100. How is it none of you know this about me?
October 21, 2011 10:14 am Once again, as it was last year when Fowler had a Robin piece in the Weekly Sketch-Up... That Robin is mine. @tomhayday, it's funny you mention Rockwell because that was exactly what I asked Tom for. I asked for Robin doing something mundane, as in a Rockwell piece. His explanation was, "Alfred has an ice cream parlour in the Batcave and whenever Robin gets hurt, he gets ice cream." That guy (Fowler) is pure genius.
August 11, 2011 4:57 pm "I'm don't think too much of myself to tell you that I laughed at this delightful vulgarity. I just love the contrast of the Archie style with the particular language here. The fighting in the background is also very funny.

Have you not read my book?

August 4, 2011 10:20 am As good as this looks, and it looks great, I really wish I could unsee this. I was just thinking to myself yesterday that I wish I didn't know what Bane looked like because I want that surprise when I go see DKR. And as I thought that, I thanked the stars that I hadn't seen Superman yet.

Hate to be the old fogie in the room, but I miss the 70's and 80's...when I didn't know what was happening in comics until I bought the next issue and Ain't It Cool didn't exist. I miss being surprised by what I loved.

    Le sigh...
August 2, 2011 10:03 am Oh! And isn't Shooter just a shout out to then-EIC Jim Shooter? He wasn't an actual Joe, right?
