March 5, 2012 8:21 pm This redesign isn't working for me. His classic costume cohered for me because it evoked the mythological Mercury/Hermes while retaining a casual look that fit Jay's personality perfectly. I'm still very much looking forward to Earth-2, and I hope the other changes will be more to my liking.
October 21, 2011 9:23 pm Thanks for writing such fun stuff for us, Tom! I've also returned to school and it's been way more fun than I could have hoped; hopefully you have a similarly enjoyable time. Good luck to you and I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for whatever you decide to share with us down the line!
October 5, 2011 10:14 pm This was fantastic! I loved going so deeply into the lore as we did. As a huge fan of Alan Moore's run, it got my mind racing with possibilities. The art was stunning once again; the old-school greenery between the panels was great. The panel layout was momentarily confusing in two spots, but that is a very minor quibble. Definitely my POTW!
September 28, 2011 10:50 pm I loved this! I thought the art was stunning. I am very well-acquainted with all the principal characters, so I don't know how well I would have liked it as a newcomer, but it was great to see some of these people. I'm very much looking forward to the team dynamics to come. Zatanna and Constantine are a couple of my favorites, and I'm curious what their relationship will be nowadays. I was quite surprised that Superman's new costume worked for me here. This is the first time it has.
September 25, 2011 3:32 am "What I Knew Before I Bought It: I read Mary Shelley’s first arc." Thank you for this bon mot, Jimski. It caught me by surprise and made me cackle with glee!
September 15, 2011 10:53 pm I really enjoyed Cornell's take on Etrigan. We haven't had much of him yet, but he's the character I'm most excited to see more of. Also, I'm very relieved that he's not rhyming. That worked well for me in early Moore/Gaiman proto-Vertigo Hell, but I would find it hard to take seriously from a main character in an ongoing. Runner-up: Father Time. How cute!
