Comic Shots: THE ROCKETEER and an Aviation Cocktail
September 22, 2012 11:08 am Fantastic pairing!
Any suggestions on the type of gin to use? I wasn't sure how much of a juniper flavor is ideal.

September 2, 2012 7:45 pm One of the best RISs brewed in the US is Old Rasputin (which MaxPower, Spoons, and lifesend mentioned above). It’s brewed in Fort Bragg by North Coast Brewing – definitely something you should be able to track down easily in NorCal.

July 21, 2012 9:22 am Thanks! I don't want to speak for Ryan or Ali, but I'm pretty confident saying we all get a kick out of writing these features.
I've been lucky enough to drink Westy 12 a couple times, but finding a comic to pair it with is a headscratcher. Maybe HABIBI or something equally epic (and, as you said, exquisite).

July 21, 2012 9:18 am +1 to all this. I should mention that this new edition includes those censored action sequences, and has a discussion of the reasons for the removal in the "liner notes" at the end of the book.
