December 12, 2011 12:39 pm great article. ive had similar situations where people ask me, "how is he talking normally" "does he ever change back to human?" theyre the questions you try to blow off with "dont think about it. just go with it" even tho you kinda cant "just go with it" since every writer makes up his own rules in regards to what the hulk really is
October 18, 2011 2:35 pm great great art. any flaws with it a minimal and easily ignorable. this is fantastic stuff and i'm just as shocked as Chris that he hasn't done any major projects or gotten any mainstream attention
September 7, 2011 2:17 pm honestly, probably the only ifanboy writer whose articles i always read, and probably the only that i actually leave comments on. great stuff as always
July 18, 2011 4:11 pm Cap has always been my man. You summed up just about everything that makes him an amazing character.
Superman's always been my number two reason for the same reasons if integrity and morality (i like the boyscouts) but whereas Supermans amazing because of the hope he inspires (everythings gonna be alright because Superman[god] is here to protect us), Cap inspires us to fix it ourselves. It's that old american "lets get to work" mentality. This is a seemingly insurmountable task/problem that we have, but we're not going to just sit back and see what happens. We're gonna grab our pickaxes and start hacking away at this mountain. We're gonna storm that beach no matter how many guns will be shooting at us. We're gonna do whatever we can in order to protect our families and our home. that Whitman-esque sense of duty and responsibility and strength.
geez... gettin chills talkin about it. unfortunately its something that we've lost touch with over time
June 14, 2011 1:22 pm Joe Mad is one of those artists that can spend as much time inbetween issues as he likes. ya the ultimates was crap writing and took too long to come out but i have all those issues to visually enjoy for forever. I remember when i was still in jr high/high school before i was really INTO comics i was buying Battle Chasers and nothing else. His art is THAT special to me
May 12, 2011 12:30 pm definitely down for more in a week. i usually dont get involved in discussion threads but this one is really really intriuging and would love to see more posts like this, with this kind of discussion
@nudebuddha - just adding to what you closed your first post with. The combination of genes does have a big effect on how you (or any living thing) comes out. i was watching a show that was talking about genetic experiments with food. They were talking about the dangers because they could change the genetic makeup to make crops grow faster but there could be numerous negative and unforseen changes in the end product.
awesome post by @Brandino. never thought of the x-gene as a damaged>fixed gene. really interesing
I'm going to do my best to compose myself....I Hate The Sentry{cough cough couch} i'm so sorry. i don't know what just came over me....{deep breath} i've gone from passively disliking the sentry (he's either crying or he's fixing every problem involving the dark avengers) to actively hating him after this issue(now he's just some stupid overly powered animal on a leash). {cue dark brooding voice} he needs to die in a Very Very bad way. Preferrably by a warhammer to the face and hopefully followed by some gloating that would probably go something like: "Thou Art Dead You Overly Powered Nancy"
i suppose it's a good issue, for it to elicit such and emotional response out of me but i'm not happy about it.
