I’ve been following this book since issue one and since Darwyn Cooke left it has kind of been coasting along,…

May 18, 2012 8:17 pm @sitara119 Fair point sir. I was just trying to come up with an obvious example of something controversial and unread. Though I have read comments elsewhere along the lines of 'this will suck just because it exists' which is basically insulting unread content. I'm not defending it or agreeing with it just pointing out its there :)
May 17, 2012 4:51 pm To be fair to Molly many of the comments made on the Internet are about stuff that hasn't been read yet. See Before watchmen for a prime example. No one knows if that's truly an insult to Alan Moore or the reader but I can guarantee about 1000 people have said it. I personally don't get annoyed by things I haven't read yet but then I can't say I've seen any comics lately that i felt insulted my whole gender.
May 17, 2012 12:51 pm Is it wrong I want to know how they turn a yuck moment into a wow moment?
May 2, 2012 6:28 pm I saw it in IMAX 3D and thought it was terrific, the 3D was good and not really distracting as it has been in some other films. If I see it again I may try 2D though just to see if that made a huge difference or not. And it'll be cheaper.
May 16, 2011 2:33 pm I am ludicrously excited about this.  The Rocketeer may be my all time favorite comic book and its great to see such an array of talent doing new stories.
March 9, 2011 4:24 pm I will really miss The Spirit book, it was one of my favorite reads every month, not life changing by any means but a fun book with excellent art.  I agree that Doc Savage had to go though it was a mess from the start and the First Wave mini was severely underwhelming sadly.  I know its unlikely to happen now but could they not just keep The Spirit as something separate from the First Wave line and keep it going?

I met him at a thing a few months ago and he seemed like a really nice guy, very approachable (even with the beard) doesn't come over particularly well in interviews maybe but if I had been asked the same questions for 20 years I may be a bit tired of it too.

He was more than willing to sign my copy of V for Vendetta and seemed excited about the new league of Extraordinary gentlemen book.  I don't agree with everything he says here by any means but he's entitiled to his opinion of course.

May 9, 2010 2:27 pm Shame the next issue is going to be the last. I quite enjoy this book and am a big fan of the retro design of some of it. Will have to look for my sci-fi fix elsewhere now I guess :(

I'm loving this book.  Just read the first two issues back to back and I'm amazed at how well the story has been able to show what it's like for a diabetic having a hypo.  I'm a diabetic myself and I can totally see what Morrison and Murphy are going for here.

Obviously there is a lot of dramatic licence here and I'm in now way saying every hypo is like the one shown in this book but it is true that things become very very strange when you are suffering a hypo.  I remember I had one at work and ended up pouring a can of diet coke over a co-worker and running into a vending machine in the cafe.  No joke.  No idea why i did it but hypo's do strange things to your mind.

I've never seen a hypoglycemic state shown in a comic before so this is fascinating to me. Can't wait for the next issue!
